Reminds me of Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose rather than Sonic or Bubsy. I used to have the Game Gear version of Bonkers... It kinda sucked, especially compared to this.

I know that. I lived through the old SNES days. If you remember Sega released a handheld console to rival the old gameboy (or gameboy pocket or color, not sure when) called the game gear. I still have it somewhere, and I had a Bonkers game along with it where you are in a wax museum collecting wax pieces. I could never beat that game, controls weren't very responsive. Road Rash was great though!
