does this widen the body? if not what can i do to widen my body without actually buying a wide body kit... because all the wide bodies i found are all ulgy as hell
ok could you please help me out understand if I would need to get certed after the fenders get cut? Am wanting these widebody flares (3" wide) molded to the car but the rims guys were like it would be real hard to find rims/tires that won't touch the fender plus they might cost a fortune too.. so do you think if I get the fenders rolled it would help without me having to cut the fender maybe? Need your honest expertise on what I should do.. its for a 2003 audi a4 that an thnking of doing.
on a 4 door car, it is limited mainly by the area where the rear door inner metal keeps the fender from being able to pull any more. I could have gone much more, maybe an inch or so while retaining the factory body arch by simply avoiding the area. The main thing to remember is to make space UP then out. If you simply pull the fender out, when your wheel compresses, it will hit the inner fender causing rubbing, or in severe cases such as my last y33 when i stuffed the 18s in the
fender it would beach me. So by rolling UP first to make vertical clearance, then out, you pull the fender from above that line. then you go and push it out slightly since the pulling of the metal above will cause it to bow in slightly. just take your time and go at it. dont rush at all.
What happened to the heat gun????? Putting a flame on paint dosent seem like a good idea. What if theres oil or something flammable under the fender well? You could have a blazing fire in no time!
Whats the point of using a rubber wheel on the fender roller if you're using a metal head on ur BFH !

yeah, yeah all that...or you could use a baseball bat.

@Later685
Using a bat is the cheap way. Do it right the first time you won't have to worry about fucked up paint and a wavy ass fender.

For those with s13s considering running 225/60/r15s in the back with 0 offset... don't.

the fender looses its strength after its rolled like that

How far can the fender be rolled? Can the flat piece of the arch be rolled out to the same curvature as the arch flare? Thanks

nah, it is quite alright. been doing this for a long time. heat gun is for making bumpers flare if you have to. flame is faster for metal

dude man, get some wider tires put on those rims, the tires dont look right being stretched that bad. Good video though on the fender rolling.

Nice work man. I would have thought it'd crack not keeping it constantly warm, but looks like it did the trick anyways.
