No bank can lend it's own credit, and cannot lend the depositers money, so where did the "credit" come from? The American Dream IS a sham, but the American Spirit isn't dead. Where there's a will, there's a way. If you look back through history, you'll see that the underprivileged have slowly gone from slaves, to serfs, to "voluntary" employees, and I don't believe that is the end of the story. @Aspetta17 It's not a sham , if America is so bad why has this country received and continues to receive the largest migration of human beings in history of people seeking a better life . Don't blame the banks for creating debt , blame the Gov. for believing that it's their job to make sure we all have a house and wealth , and allowing the banks to give out loans like free air . I also don't remember the banks putting a gun to someone and saying "take out a loan" .

I mean maaaaaaaaaassses of defaults Say 40% of us signed a petition to just stop the whole monetary shell game on a certain date. May 1st say?. What could the fed or citibank or mastercard or visa do........if millions of people just STOPPED making payments?
