@joeydrums44 Its for studio/recording purposes. You will not find many metal records that don't benefit from the use of triggers now.

Also, hate to inform you but, microphones can be used as triggers as well. And 90% of the time they are now, even if the samples are blended. Metal records have to be tight, and nobody is a machine.

@mudddflappp Just as a suggestion check out the Aquarian Superkick 1 head. It has a felt ring built into the back side of the batter head. Has a nice tone to it and eleminates most if not all the extra resonation that most ppl dont want with thier kicks, they have a nice thump to them.

@FastHands1504 no. you dont have the right technique, i can do heel toe on one of those shitty jr. kit pedas that are like 1/2 the size of a real pedal. i have a size 12 foot. a size 12 on jr pedal is way bigger(in comparison) than a 14 on a regular size pedal. the setting of your foot board dosnt matter (with in reason). you are just trying to make excuses for your inability to use this technique. practice it more and you will be able to do it on the 7000s
