I made a longer version of this Elvis treat and contructed it into more of a complete song, I should post xx I edited things aroound and made it more like a complete recording xx
I've had this song ages but never realized Red West wrote it.He also co wrote With Charlie and Elvis the song You'll be gone and he also wrote If you talk in your sleep.
Written by Red West. This is a home recording from 1966 at Rocca Place in Hollywood, CA. Red West, one of Elviss entourage, wrote this song. Charlie Hodge is singing harmony.
This is such a very fabulous song. The other songs that Elvis' longtime friend and bodyguard Red West wrote that Elvis recorded were "That's Someone You Never Forget", "You'll Be Gone", "If Every Day Was Like Christmas", "It's No Fun Being Lonely", "Mary Lou Brown", "Separate Ways", "Holly Leaves And Christmas Trees" and "If You Talk In Your Sleep". Red West was such a very brilliant songwriter. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
I just realized yesterday (February 14th) that Elvis' longtime friend and bodyguard Red West also wrote the Elvis songs "If You Think I Don't Need You" and "Seeing Is Believing". I had totally forgotten that Red West had written those two Elvis songs. Red West is such an extremely phenomenal songwriter and Elvis loved each of the songs that Red West wrote for him. I truly had to update the information of Red's writing credits when it came to Elvis songs.
