I have the HP drive that can do CD, DVD and play and write Blu Ray. I got it at Fry's Electronics. When the DVD is formatting, the CPU, RAM, hard drive, and video card are working simultaneously to transfer the information to the DVD. If you have dual core it will take longer because it has two cores. Quad cores can process the DVD faster because of the four cores.
Nero is shit, so so slow and far too many add ons etc that you never use. It even takes an age to install or unintsall. Theres no way i would buy it, infact i wouldnt even use it if you gave me a pirate copy... its just crap.
Already contacted the HP support. They told me they cant replace it coz mine is expired.Well first of all i never ask them to replace it.I was asking if they can help me figure out what was wrong with the damn thing.
Dont matter now anyways i smash that shit into little pieces.
Gonna try xFIAKOx suggestion probably alot better than HP.
I have done that but the problem i'm facing is when it start to "BURN" the movie into the blank DVD it ejects out itself before it even start burning.
(it wont let it burn at all just keep spitting it out.)
I have HP dvd 940e lightscribe multi recorder looks exactly like that.
I have been having problems with it.everytime i try to burn videos.when it start to write on the dvd,the burner ejects the dvd out before the burning process.what you think is the problem?
hello, do I need to use my hp computer itself, there is lightscibe logo, instead of using that dvd burner is shown in tutorial, what I mean is that my hp computer itself could burn label(lightscribe)?
I have an LP DVD Burner with lightscribe, and its just Awesome! Pc Hardware/Software has come so far in the last 10 years. The internet has Leveled off though.
You're not alone, I don't like them either. They cost too much for the cd's, and to me, that Lightscribe writing looks ugly...I have Lightscribe in my laptop already, but I never used it...
Good question, sometimes i wounder if he is more of a sales man for TigerDirect then an honest reviewer. He is a reviewer though and does give his input on emails he gets from time to time.

If there is the lightscribe logo on your DVD Drive then it should be able to burn labels onto Lightscribe Disks.

Since it's coming from TigerDirect, my guess is that it's a review.

Wow. That's not a tank. It's a waste of space.
I wish external enclosures were "skin-tight" for internal drives.
Sometimes, they just take too much space.
yalolol 3 years ago
Tanks ARE a waste of space...
rcman22 3 years ago
BUT, they have pretty good use.
An external CD/DVD drive? The only thing plausible is an external HDD.
yalolol 3 years ago
OMG I HAVE THAT LOL
its cool
ivanyoulube 3 years ago
I'm looking for an external drive as well, but I'm probably going for a Samsung since they can burn 24x on a 16x disc!
And Samsung products look so sleek.
HPs are great though.
