I think it's really bizarre to hear people say "No one has ever figured this out." If we thought like that then the only way it could be figured out is if the band directly told us and honestly, what fun would that be? I can see how this could have many meaning's for different people. I personally feel the box represents an idea and they're trying to keep the idea from being stolen or forgotten. That might not be what they meant at all though.
