I was in his class as the video was being taken. Granted that Mr. Custis' performance isnt Henrys, he has more passion and knowledge in this subject than you could ever give him credit for. He puts more effort into trying inspire his students than Im sure you put forward on a daily basis(not youtube posts) What more could you ask from a teacher? How can a passionate teacher like this not value Henrys words to teach them so? To say that a man of this caliber should be fired is absurd.

Two sad things about this video. One, that the teacher feels he has to do this to get the kids to pay attention and retain the information... and two, that probably half the kids there don't appreciate the effort he's putting into teaching them.

Well, I figure it because it's true. Normally, teachers don't feel the need to go to these kinds of extremes to teach. Half the time, it's because they don't feel that the kids will listen, the other half it's just for fun. I presume now, since you came to his defense, that it's either A: just for fun, or B: you're in the half that appreciate it. The second part of my comment, about the kids in your class, was preceded by "probably." In most schools, my comment would be dead accurate.

The closest I ever got to witnessing anything like this in school was when I went to visit my art teacher at the end of the day and he was "sword fighting" with the other art teacher while they BOTH stood on desks. Most of my teachers were as fun as a root canal.
