Fuck you Academy, for not recognizing any of the work done on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The entire cast is amazing, especially Depp and Del Toro!! The cinematography is great, the art is amazing, and it follows the book AMAZINGLY WELL(except the last chapter of course, go read if you haven't)

Johnny D and Hunter were the most unimaginable and fantastically intelligent pairing EVER. There was noone put on this earth better suited or gifted to play Hunter than Johnny. And noone better to direct than Terry. Fear & Loathing was just MEANT TO BE. Thank god it wasn't in the hands of some ghoul. But then again, ghouls wouldn't make a film about Hunter, would they?? ;)

That completely depends on your definition of a great person. By conventional, so-called moral standards, no, Hunter wouldn't seem like a great person. But in the sense that he has tremendous self-intregrity and truth, and the inspiration he has brought to so many, I say he is one of the greatest persons I'll never know.
