  • the Spirit of the people there is well another hurricane came and went BUT WE will just start over and their diligence should show the people WE AMERICANS Can start over and rebuild even more lovelier places!!! BILOXI MY HOME!!!

  • My Beautiful home city!!! My Heart Is still in Biloxi !!! I Loved living here!!!!!!!!! Mississippians ARE the Most warmest, kindest, People I know!!!!

  • Love the music!

  • I live on off base houseing in kesler air force base and i love mississippi its where i want to live my entire life. :)

  • im sitting here rubbing a tear from my eye, part of me knows people from this area,i dont know how either and yes :) very nice

  • mississippi is like one of those southern countries where everything is suppose to be.im from mississippi and i go fishing with my dad almost every weekend :D

  • I lived in Biloxi for 9 years. I left the Air Force there. The people and the land were so kind to me. The people were so giving. Your video shows many of the places I delivered to when I was an office supply delivery person. The company building I worked for is now gone -- I mean obliterated. Our mighty government refuses to help the Mississippi Coast. I owe Biloxi, Ocean Springs, and Gulfport so much for taking me in their arms and pulling me from the mud. Wonderful, genuine people.

  • i have some friends from biloxi. i'm from new orleans.

  • Now Im home sick for Biloxi.

  • I have lived in Biloxi my whole life. Nearly every location I saw in the slide show I've grown up seeing my whole life. (:

  • Beautifully done! This video is up on my FB page today, the 5th anniversary of Katrina. My family's ties to Biloxi go back to the 1800s, I'm a graduate of Biloxi High (1979!) and my parents are both buried there....definitely "home" for me, no matter where else I live. Thanks so much for putting this together.

  • Thank you SO much for this! I was raised in Colorado but fell in love with Biloxi after spending 5+ years there with the Air Force. I rode out Katrina on the base while our house in Ocean Springs was destroyed. Afterwards I was amazed at the spirit of the people of the Gulf Coast and I was so proud to be a part of the rebuilding efforts there. Biloxi is definitely home!

  • I'm a Biloxi girl.... I really miss home :*-(

  • i will be headed down her visiting a friend by the end of this week and i had a question im not really a news kinda guy so hows the oil spill doing down there

  • @stephen0skulls my mamaw's bath water looks like someone filled the tub with piss.... and they say its unrelated but wasn't like that the day before

  • @stephen0skulls There was absolutely NO impact in Biloxi. The water is still beautiful. But if you come down, you HAVE to go to ship island. Happy travels.

  • I had the pleasure of passing through Biloxi for a day recently (I'm from the Boston area). I wish only the best for the wonderful people there!

  • yup, it's called "home" by Josh Verdes

  • Can Some one tell me who sings that song

  • i live in biloxi currently an have for my whole life an dont plan on moving away from the gulf coast the saltwater is in my bloodline id prolly die without the salt air .. cool video... peace evry1..

  • wow, I was stationed at Keesler nearly 30 years ago, and i think Mary Mahoney's was there back then too.

  • I got your back compton, fuck stephdh10... hahaha

  • omg finally everytime i look for stuff on were i live or lived not tellin haha its always crap

  • Vegas now... we do get together @ the Saints bar, 7-11, to watch the Saints beat up on the opposing teams. There are about 10 of us from the Mississippi Gulf Coast that meet there when there is a game. I love Mississippi and hope to be living there again someday.

  • We lived in Gulfport, almost on the Longbeach line.We had to leave because of our youngest grandson was having health problems after Katrina. (he was 1 month old). GREAT PEOPLE AND GREAT FOOD!We do miss it a lot. I was a transplanted yankee.Gonna make it back one day soon..nice video, makes me home sick. (is that possible?)

  • I'm originally from Gautier (go Gators!) Your video was beautiful and sad. Watching it just made me a little homesick just now.

  • This was an awesome video. I'm originally from Biloxi but am currently in North Texas after retiring from the USAF.

Again, you did a great job with this!

  • Biloxi is beautiful, but the people are closed minded and feel there is still a civil war going on somewhere.

  • You mean the war's over? Well I aint giving up my workers. Someone's gotta work the fields.

Do ya hear how stupid that sound...about as stupid as your comment.

  • culturally disadvantaged

  • ive lived here my whole life...im 22 and very open minded...maybe the old timers in their 90's feel that way but not others you cant base a whole city off of the few people you meet..see im open minded enough to kjnow this...im not ignorant like you seem to be..you must be from up north somwhere..atleast you didnt say we were rednecks..ive seen more rednecks in ohio and tennesee than here...the world is fucked up because of people like you...

  • How did you reach this conclusion????? Seriously?

  • BIKE WEEK , Lives on.

  • BILOXI ( pronounced* BULL-lucks- SEA* ) Ok northerners! get it straight. LUCKS not Locks.

  • haha lmao..gotta love them northerners...

  • I love Biloxi and always will... Glad we're coming back

  • born and raised in biloxi really close to that lighthouse too , i really wanna go back , i miss my childhood memories

  • Me too, but I never left. When I did, I got the shakes needing to see that open space of the gulf. It is part of my soul and my lifes experience. I dont think I could live anywhere else. Bless all of those who helped and continue to help us recover. And, fo those who think of us and keep us in their prayers

  • but see i want to go back like !!right now!! lol i need to find a way to get down there cuz im 2000 miles away

  • i still live here i stayed for katrina too and i noe this sounds bad but katrina made my life so much better. Each night we set up tables in our front yard and me and my neighbors would stay up all night playing board games talking having fun and the trees that fell were our clubs and we built a tree house on one of them and than each day we served food to people anybody and i got really close to my neighbors too now were best friends and i do say its all because of katrina

  • I was born here in 83 ! On Keesler AFB. We should have never left. I went back in highschool and had hoped to help out with Katrina but was sent to Texas instead... still had Biloxi on my mind

  • I was a Biloxi dispatcher during the storm and that was the toughest job I've ever done that day. But the funniest part of it was two weeks after the storm I got in an argument with a guy on the phone who insisted that the Biloxi OS bridge had been repaired and he was going to go drive across it.

  • that barge landed on my families hotel AT4:30

  • I live here too. Your video made me cry :'(

  • I live right by Gate 7 Keesler. I love it here!

  • Beautiful pic of Town Green, Sharkheads breaks my heart tho, my family spent many hours there! You people on the MS coast are the best on earth, didn't sit on your duff and whine. Others could take a lesson from you all. Thank you for still being there, you are what makes this place special!

  • you did a great job with this video and a nice music selection as well!!

  • have yall seen the carving the guy is doing to all the bead trees prety cool if u ask me

  • yes, there very unique and done with class and artistry!! one of the few new touches to our ravaged community!! it'll never be close to what is was, antebellum houses galore!! now its condos and slabs

  • i have never seen biloxi before katrina i wish i could have

  • I miss seeing the Great White Shark's mouth while cruising the strip. Lots of Mississippi love to you.

  • We stayed in Gulfport during Katrina and left because of health problems of one of our grandsons. I dearly miss the gulfcoast and I wish i never would have left. I feel as though i deserted my "hometown" even though i wasnt born there.(transplant yankee)I miss y'all and the atmosphere ,the weather, the people and oh yeh!THE FOOD!! I hope someday to return if not live at least to visit and feel that warm "Y'all come back now" southern hospitality! God Bless

  • those r beutiful houses but now there gone

  • i lived in a trailer in gulf port MS and it got it got destroyed man i love biloxi my aunt got married right across the street from the beach at a friends house it was gone completely after katrina i live in a Fema trailer for a year with 8 people and two dogs its was so small but we got through it now my aunt has a nice house and i live in Texas and i cant wait to go back to mississippi

  • I lived in Long Beach, MS, and luckily our house wasn't damaged that bad.

  • the house at 4.36 was my cousins = (

  • wow i remember everything in these pics i wish i had the power to turn back time and some how keep all this from happning but theres no chance that will ever happen damnit i miss biloxi :(

  • I have to get back there, I was there before Katrina, I need to get back there... I fell in love of Biloxi MS!... I know that Katrina was long time ago, but I havent be avaible to check my old place of work (Casino Magic) and some other cool places that Biloxi had.

  • biloxi was awesome...

it was the shit.... my grandmothers house got destroyed..

  • 2:20 i always wanted to go on that boat since i lived in a house at like 4-6 years old near the beach mississippi is such a beautiful place too bad for katrina

  • I wish I could punch Haddy91 right square in the dick!!! Ok, I feel better now. hehe...

In 2004 my father and I drove from the So. Cal coast to Biloxi to visit my daughter and grandson. I loved it!!! And the people were an awesome, friendly, easy-going bunch. I wasn't real thrilled march 2005 when my kid told me she was moving to Oklahoma, but I thank God now that she did. ***Excellent video mlmorgan2006***

  • Hey, speak to a guy who leaved there and wow, makes you realy appriciet life and what you have.

  • Very moving God bless MS gulf coast

  • Oh eayh, the shark's head, lighthouse and old $1 theater at the mall by the shore were my faves.

  • From Marrero, a N.O. suburb. Wife and I used to head over to Biloxi ALL the time for beach/shopping/movies. Always spent the night at the nice casinos, though we didn't gamble. Biloxi had so much to offer than gambling, but I relaize that's one of the engines it'll need to get back on its feet. Great place. Great people. Special feel to it. Get well soon!

  • Still more things to do there then in Borlando Florida. Was planning on moving there in 04 then the hurricane hit now that they are getting things back up moving there Gulf Coast in Feb 08.

  • at 1:40 was one of my favorite places in biloxi, it had a giant shark head on the front of the pink building. to this day, that shop/store (sharkhead's) looks the same way since katrina. :( the ship, at 2:22 used to be a part of a casino, before katrina it was totally parallel to the beach and also there was a castle part connected that was totally blown away. all that is left is a giant cement slab. we are rebuilding but it is still slowly happening, even 2 1/2 years later.

  • From someone who lived there, and misses it a whole bunch, this was a nice tribute.. love the music. It will never be the same as it was.. we can only hope that it will be better. Thanks for putting your heart and soul into this movie.

  • Good video and music. We visited before Katrina and want to go again. Biloxi rocks!

  • Thanks for posting this, and especially the pictures from before the storm. I'd almost forgotten how it looked before.

  • And you're nothing but a low life scum bag for posting such a statement. Remember - it all comes back to you Worm!

  • what comes around goes around, and its going to come back and bite u in the butt when ur house is distroyed in a hurricane just like all the peoples in biloxi did, just so u know. katrina flooded atleast 20,000 homes on the mississippi gulf coast and atleast 1500 people died of drowning on

August 29, 2005. people like you make me sick, haddy91. you are a hopeless person that doesn't know how to excersise proper judgment

  • Thanks for this. The shark tourist shop and the lighthouse got me the most =( I miss it so much. It's so different now...

  • We used to drive our boys over the bridge from the point over and back. That bridge was soo bumpy, if you got going at a perfect speed our boys would go right asleep and we could go home. I will miss it.

  • Yo, I went to Biloxi on Spring break 06' for cleanup. Our group was stationed at Pas Christian. I did alot of cleanup near the big blue Water tower in che city. You have a beautiful hometown. Even after the hurricane :)
