afgelopen zondag zat ik helemaal vooraan, het leek erop of ik een "riem"hoorde draaien door het orgelspel kan dat? hoe is de luchtvoorziening met een snaar?
@jasonthemauler Exactly, right??God bless the man whom invented the Organ from which without,we couldn't have this moody and dark music, can't you picture the great him self!Count Dracula slowly moving in behind you in fog form and then about to drink your blood blah!!Or even the devil dancing around with a persons damned soul!!Right??Like this? Then look up LEDZEPP LEN "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN"backwards!!It will trip you out and spook you too, people believe it's Satan talking in the background!Reply!!
@marsan079 That's actually quite an interesting picture you paint there, but what I was thinking was more like Dracula himself actually playing this on a pipe organ.
You have an astute sense of structure and play with rigid rhythm and near technical perfection. Truly, I have never heard better. This is better than Koopman.
I like....but somehow I think you're missing some of the inner beauty at this tempo....don't really know how to say. BUT well played. Good drive, but....try to pay attention to the inner voices more sometimes....
This piece you hear mostly "molto grave" but it is in "alla breve", so, this is the right tempo, I think. It gets "schwung", the way you play it. Five stars! If you have time, look at my videos, please. Choose: gerard van reenen
LOVE the tempo. Kind of obvious, when you think about it, but I've been as guilty of anyone else of playing this too slowly. Thanks - it's an inspired reading!
wonderful work. you play with joy. One of the things I appreciate about your playing of this particular piece is the CONSTANCY, a force, the rhythm is kept so well, constant!!! That gives it so much force and dynamic, and yet you do this with such seeming ease! I wonder with whom did you study? steve ader from santa fe, new mexico, u.s.a.
@maudiouser I agree with you completely! I'm used to this piece being played at a slightly slower tempo, but the precision of rhythm was wonderful! Don't ever stop!
Yes,itwas performed on the end of Lady Di's funeral service, but there it sounded alot more mysterical ,as Westminster Abbey's Organ is quite a few times bigger than this one.
I hope you're building up to a DVD collection of all these inspiring J S Bach perfomances. Who needs fancy videos when you have such musical power on display.
Clip those opening chords short: you might say that would be "spiky", but I say say it would be crisp and dramatic. Generally very good.

Superb sound quality. Excellent interpretation, including tempo. Ranks up there with Kevin Bowyer's as one of my favorites.

Awesome. It is a great joy of many YouTube members, to hear your Bach interpretations.
Cosmic power, clearness of the musical concept, solid technique, contemporary rhythm.

A few manual changes aside, not too different from my playing.
Very nice.
