@Jarroy2 It's called LOOPING.....it's rather popular.....Hip Hop is kind of based on the idea actually....maybe you've heard other people "sample" something but didn't realize that's what they were doing.
@maplecreekjunction he wasn't referring to the technical side of it...but rather how panda bear had the ear to realize what he could do with the sample.
People, please, enough about Panda Bear. He has nothing to do with this song outside of the fact that he sampled a section of it. He wasn't even born when it was composed and performed. If you want to emptily praise him, do it on the comments board for "Bros". This board ought to be for the praise that the original musicians in The Tornados rightly deserve.
I've got the same thing to say most every time I hear a Tornados song..and that is their instrumentals are not only new to me(most of them), but that their refreshing, easy to listen too, have that same unique twang, they get you swaying to the beat & all their inst. hits fit in nicely with that early doowop/pop sound. The only other inst. group to compare to The Tornados would be The Ventures, who are American....The Tornados were British. The Tornados were also bigger, am i not right? THX
Clem had something to do with amazing blondel too and worked with those guys that had a group that keith moon said would go over like a led zeppellin but clem didnt seem to like the way he was portrayed in the play about joe meek ,he said he didnt use curse words like that .
@NappaWesker oh naww dude, all these weird one sentence comments that seem like they have nothing to do with the song are about panda bear. he sampled this song and made a 13 minute epic out of it
@NappaWesker A man known across the land as Panda Bear Sampled 0:49-0:57 in a song called "Bro's" in which he sings, "I'm not trying to forget you, I just like to be on my own, give me the space I need, and you may and you may and you may and you may find that we're alright" Give it a listen!
@NappaWesker Lol, yep it reminds us of the first line of the 13 minute class remix which was made from a tiny sample of this tune. "I'm not tryin' to forget you". Panda Bear - Bros ... go watch it, you might like it's psychedelic genius.
such a happy tune,,,
It's amazing how the sample Panda uses just jumps out of this song...I've definitely listened to Bro's wayyy too many times

I know it aint my business, but the song reminds you of someone?
NappaWesker 3 years ago
Lol, nah.
An artist called Panda Bear samples a section of this song (:55 - :57) as the main melody for his song "bros".
What I posted was the first lyric to the chorus.
I know sampling doesn't sound that cool, but it's a very good song.
Blackwaterdesigns 3 years ago 5
@NappaWesker He is referencing a song by Panda Bear that samples part of this song.

@NappaWesker the song "bro's" by panda bear uses a two-second sample from this song, "i'm not trying to forget you" is a line from that song.
