@Glacier36 Sadly it did happened last year. Search "Mythbusters cannonball" to find news footage of it. But yea that was one of the few times some major collateral damage happened away from one of their tests. But there have been some close calls.

I've realized duck tape's efficiency varies from brand to brand. The one I bought at Walmart doesn't compare to Staple's brand. I don't know if the fact that walmart's was of "industrial" grade. Wouldn't that supposed to mean it's the top one? Any experience with different brands guys?

well sorry, but the boat is NOT made of duct tape. the planks are spanned with tape, but thats all.

to call it a duct tape boat you should use NOTHING else,..maybe the cardboard inletts but nothing else.

they aren't planks for a start, it is a wire skeleton, also. if they boat was made of nothing but duct tape it would flop to a flat sheet.. they know what they are doing..

@Guzzist11 You weren't listening. They explained that they couldn't use only duct tape since it will not hold a solid shape. I'm not sure you could make a boat any more purely out of tape, so I think they did a good job =)
