My friend settled with a debt collector where the credit card was around $25,000. They took all fees off and took off over $7,000! The debt collector said that in this economy it is the best time for people to settle their debts for less than what they owe. How awesome is that!
isn't it funny that there a no comments on this page, all the negative dc vids are filled with comments on how evil this industry is. debt collecting is good for consumers and for the econony. retrieved debts lower consumer prices, retrieved debt benefits consumer credit scores and it provides milllions of jobs in this country. debt collectors are just people like you, the good and the bad but mostly the good, to be a succesful collector you have to have patience, empathy and good judgement.
Well if consumers can work with the CAs then each party can try to resolve the balance the best way each can. :)
