hey dude.

please help me out.

I WISH TO HELL to install this mod... I alredy used VICE CITY MOD MANAGER,

and it didn't work out.

what should I do buddy ?

@JoAquim5612 open mod manager & uninstall the mod, so it can be re-installed later, now re-install VC, so its a clean install, make sure you load up the game to the point your standing in the ally by the car. this way it builds txd libary for gfx card. then look online for program called "CROA read only remover" install then right click the rockstar games folder & Clear Read Only Atributes, make sure u do sub folders, open mod manager install the mod :) make sure vc isn't running when you do

@shariqmusharaf you install a program (found via google) called "VCM Mod Manager", then you go into the program files & find were it installed, their will be a folder with a sub folder & in their will be a VCM file already in their (thats the dmagic wheel mod that comes with vcm app) you put our vcm in their & launch mod manager, to install it you double click the name of the mod in the list (make sure you remove the "read only" from all the gta folders & files)

please ber in mind IMG tool has a REPLACE option (it doesn't work, it never has) you have to remove the old files & add the new files, or you end up ith 2 of each & it loads the original files first

@grandtheftauto5588 you need to remove the COL files in the IMG file

the Re[place option on spookys IMG tool doesn't work

find the cols that need replacing & actualy delete them from the img

and remember to use the Rebuild option on img tool before exiting

@grandtheftauto5588 suposed to open the IMG and delete the col files (BUT) only same files that come with mod, then ment to add col files to the img &rebuild archive

you have to remove READ ONLY from the GTA3.IMG and the GTA3.DAT or what ever it was, been years : /

re-install vice city & remove the read only from EVERYTHING

(most modders use CROA Read Only Remover) remove it from the lot

then install GTA Mod Manager & put the VCM file into mod managers folder and use that to install it

@sharmapraveen164 MapMods vary in design but "most" map mods use ID numbers, having "Multiple" map mods installed is when you have lock up problems, "most" map mods have an IDE file & an IPL file, what you can do is Open windows notepad & Drag the IDE file over it and look at all the numbers at the begining of each line (do the same for the IPL file) this way you can see if some map mods share ID numbers (you can change them but their is a limit of how high the numbers can go) :D

@krkarr ive not played vc since 2004, only advice i can give is check the IDE numbers if you have any other map mods installed, if you dont have any others installed then you installed ours incorectly

every map mod that places new object has to guive them an ID number

IDE numbers are stored in the map folders you can edit .IDE and .IPL files with notepad, every gta object has an ID number so if another map mod is using the same ID number it'll spawn 2 objects and 2 col files in same place :(

@ANDREIRETEGAN22 im not sure what u mean by nitro, if u mean the flames from the exhaust, just google gta vice city flame exhaust, if you mean the speed, just edit the handling.cfg in the DATA folder (using notepad) and change the first 2 numbers "higher" for each car, or google gta stat editor or gta config editor :)

@exoticagent613 does a few map folders to replace ipl files, but it also replaces a few dff files and col files as it maps the location within buildings & some dff's were edited to allow access to walk through along with the col files, at the time (2004) the new IDE numbers had no conflicts with any map mods besides the 420 freeway (wich used every avalible IDE number their was, besides dmagics wheel mod number)

the mod unlocks the Buildings (not any game STATUS)

IE.. to go to the lawyers office, i just started NEW GAME = Zero Cash

lets face it the lawyers office is right their when you select new game

for the rest of the locations you MUST unlock the islands to be able to drive to them

so when i LOAD my save to be able to drive to them locations.. my game save has cash...

i didnt know that, but thats probably what happened when i downloaded gta san andreas off the internet for free. I think that's what happened to me because I could play san andreas for about a day but the next day after i got it (it took a whole night to extract the batch file so i could open and play the application) my laptop said everything I clicked on was infected and that I couldn't use any program, open any file, use an internet browser, or anything.

cool video. I used to use mods like this downloaded off the internet like the particle mod that changes the exhaust particles into fire. i even had REAL GTA 3 mod for a while but after downloading something for San Andreas, i got a trojan virus on my laptop and it cost me $130 to remove the virus but then i had to get i new processor, CPU, and motherboard. The virus acted like it was scanning my computer for viruses, but whenever i clicked remove, it loaded about 37 viruses total. it sucked.

@rbdigital007 yeah a few mods used to come out packed as exe's, wich back then hosting an exe on a crap ftp ment that anyone that already had a virus, generaly infected the exe while they were downloading it, so the next person to get the exe got stung even if their comp was clean :'(

you have to take the read only og the whole folder, not just the IMG file ;)

@GTAWalkThroughs123 yes your right ;) but you no the begining of VC, were their playing cards (that room is actualy hidden in vice city) and used for the FMV, so we took the sign from gta 3, put it on a building & moved the bistro set so it was accessable, after all even a bistro can have a franchise

basicly gave vc more scope for MTA and GTAT :)
