    The reason he is standing up is because it allows you to go longer than if you just did a whole bunch of pushups with no break, standing up doesnt let the lactic acid build up as fast

  • try going to ten then back down to one. thats 110 pushups. do a couple sets of those a day. it'll do the job trust me[=

  • ay @bodiesbycjABS does changing directions make a difference between the repititions or did you just do it for variety(or just for fun)?

  • we have to do this in highschool athletics, but we go to 21 and between each set we have 30 seconds of ab work. For a total of 231 push ups and 10 and a half minuets of ab work. Most of us collapse several times, but have to immediately get back up and keep going.

  • @seeyousaturday yeah that's normal. you generaly use the muscles in your arms less than you do the ones in your core. Plus the muscles in your core are postural muscles, they're made to support your weight 24/7. They're composed of slow muscles fibres, that take longer to contract but can work for much longer without being tired.

    summed up:

    -your core is stronger than your arms, and has different muscle types, which make it less tired after an exercise.

  • if youre looking for a big chest you want to hold your hands much wider than that, not brushing your pecs. thats working your triceps more .. tut tut should know this Mr T!!

  • At first I thought he was doing only 10 push ups but then I realized I did my math wrong. its 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10 = 55 push ups in all and pushing yourself up in between reps. Yea this is a lot harder than it looks

  • This works so well because mentally your only up to 10 and you should have done 53 push ups lol, but counting out load to 53 sounds so much more, and I think, has an effect on performance

  • The workouts ok, but first off how u gon try to teach some one something as basic as this and you out of breath by the time u reach six, and your form is ugly and u cheat on every last count by kicking your self up into the stand (do the last count and then stand, no half stepping), and also u should do these types with your fist to the ground not open hand because with the amount of reps and the standing-to-floor so many time you'll hyper-extend your wrist sooner then later.

    i like feet on a chair push ups to max then do knee push up wide space push ups to failure, rest 45-60 sec then; repeat, untill you can't do anymore with proper form. pay attention to your joints. 2 times a week. do them on knuckles to protect your wrists. if this is too advance then stop smoking.

    also look up push up pyramid and look for some russian guy he has one like this

    just remember to balance the upper . inner and lower chest muscles so you dont sag when youve worked hard for the muscles

  • we did 1 to 10 10 then 10 to 1 in mauy thai for conditioning i never really noticed any results from doing it, just made doing pushups alot easier.
