Also, as you may know, the english word "hindi" means the language of India in English. But, we Turks never tease Indian people for this similarity. Therefore, you can keep going if that makes you feel good.

In England turkey is the traditional dish at Christmas. I think the same is for Thanksgiving in the US. So the reader of the Limerick is wearing a funny hat which is a turkey i.e. the bird if you look closely.
