At about 120lbs, I am too small to ride a bike.. or at least, anything small enough for me to handle would look so gay I might as well just ride a scooter! :P
@kirke420 you ain't too small. Dude, you know me, I ride all the time (off road). Size and weight never have anything to do with it. There are lots of us small dudes who ride!
Hi Aron, my brother had a Honda fireblade, he took me on the back, we were doing about 70 and he really opened it up without telling me, he nearly threw me off the back, I do not know what speed he took it up to and he did not tell me but it seemed crazy fast.
He has no longer got the bike, he was at night school in Swindon and when he returned to the bike park the bike was gone, cctv showed him that 3 guys lifted it and made off into the shadows, gone forever.
My Victory has gotten up to 150mph, but it's not about speed for me. I tend to ride more like a cowboy on a horse. I put 30,000 miles on my bike, and it really matters that Victorys don't require much maintenance. It is both the most expensive and the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Each of the motorcycle mechanics I've talked to refer to the Freedom V-twin as "bullet-proof". The Vegas (designed by Arlen Ness) is better looking than Japanese bikes, and they're very well made.
When we in Dalls in may, I saw a lot of Harley's and hardly any Jap bikes, it's a bit different with the car market though, it seems to be 70% Japanese car's and the rest big American v8's.
I'm more of a car person, I have a Lexus ls 400 converted to run on lpg (liquid petroleum gas) it's half the price of petrol and the power output is the same. I spent $18,000 last year on petrol so it was a no brianer for the conversion.
Unlike every other bike I've ever had, my Victory doesn't require much maintenance at all. It's belt driven and has computerized fuel-injection, and seldom needs more than a wash. I change the unique brand of synthetic oil twice a year, and I pay someone else about $500.00 every year to change my tires.
Chain is a pain. Needs to be adjusted almost constantly and oiled every time it gets wet. The belt drive doesn't need to be lubed at all, and needs to be adjusted less often than my tires are replaced. So one takes care of the other. The belt is also as easy to change as a chain, and can handle more torque than a drive shaft. It's an obvious choice.
Man, I was up to 630 and still countin'... Never tought I'd see a video where Yngwie Malmsteen and Tangerine Dream would be playing together... ;-)

The kid did an okay job. I hope you didn't discipline him too badly.

You've seen my son. His bike is a classic Harley Iron Head Sportster, and he looks good on it.

Harley Davidsons are crap, loads of trouble.
I much prefer the Japanese bikes, more reliable and better made...

I'd pit my Vic against any Japanese bike.

Aron, do you do all your own bike maintanance?
Does the engine have a timing belt or is it gear driven?
Also is it expensive for oil's filters and tyres, I had to put 2 new tyres on my lexus, that was £170 or $ 300 ish..

Belt driven is a pain, this means it has to be changed every? 50,000 miles?
Not a cheap job I think, requires specialist work..

Alot of H Davidson on this road.
As the saying goes around here, the fastest way to disassemble a Harly is to start it.
Now, take a bucket down the road and you will have spare parts for many years to come.
Nahh. Just kidding :-)
You can´t drive a HD. in Europe the roads has curves. So I stick to BMW.

I think there were about 600 bikes this year. It was 1/3 the normal turn-out because the weather called for scattered thunderstorms.
