This is my favorite song by them. You did a good job but it sounds like you're playing part of it wrong. During the part where the lyrics are "don't let yourself go hungry now, don't let yourself grow cold" the chords are (depending on what you start on, for this example the songs starts in C) would be C, G#aug, Am.

It sounds like you started on C# so the chords for that section would be C#, Aaug, A#m. It sounds weird, but I'm pretty sure it's right if you listen to the song.

I don't play guitar so I don't know anything about fretting those chords but on the piano it's very easy because if you play the second inversion of the first chord the bass note just moves up a half step each time.
