I owned an '86 C32 diesel Laurel for 3 years....Problems? None. For such an old car it was extremely reliabe. Very comfortable, extremely good build quality. There are no cars like this anyomore...too bad that luxury doesn't mean soft ride and soft seats anymore...The LD28 is an excelent engine. Very slow with an automatic like I had, but a car like this is not about speed. I'm proud that I had the change to own a gem like this!
My parents owned a 1989 Mazda 929 V6 when i was a schoolboy. All my friends and classmates loved it, because it was very spacious and incredibly fast. In Germany, it did 240km/h on the speedometer.
You did 0-100 in about 15 seconds. That's very fast for such a large heavy car and a naturally aspirated diesel engine.
