Even though Kagura died she still lives on. Throughout the series whenever the wind blew t made more like reminded me of her. Before Kanna was sent to attack InuYasha and the gang, the wind blew and she immediantly thought of Kagura( it turned out to be Byakuya with a new order from Naraku). She lives on through the memory of all those who loved her, respected her. After all she is the wind, the free wind.
I'd thought I would never see the day when Rumiko Takahashi would show that Seshomaru would actually love someone in a romantic way. Even if him and Kagura weren't really involved in that way very much, their actions portray their feelings for one another, which is just as good if they had said they loved eachother to the other person. And if she had stayed a bit longer, I would have appreciated it if I could have seen the relationship between Kagura and Seshomaru develop a bit more

Kagura's death is definately the biggest point of the entire story for me. To be honest its one of the best death scenes I've read in a manga.
But at the same time it has the side effect of taking some of the soul away from the story. I really lost a lot of interest in the series after Kagura's death.
sesshy and kagura sorta had feelings for each other, thats how sesshy fits in this....and in the end she thought she would die a horrible death..she died in peace in a beautiful place and with the man she loved.......

kagura was never really a truly evil character, she just did what she was told. this is seen when Goshinki(the demon the Tokijin was forged from) was attacking a village, kagura told goshinki to spare the remaining two kids. and when he didnt she left, disgusted, saying that she doesnt want anything to do with him

She did fell in love with him.. It was so sad when I first read the manga and that made me tear... I'm a weirdo I knew that it's not REAL, nothing to do with my real life but I could not get over the scene Sesshy met her.. so I became angst and in melancholy for ages.. : (

Ughh, now I have to reread the manga. In the anime he clearly broke Tokujin before going to Kagura, but in this manga scene it shows Tokujin in his sash.
Also very sad, makes me wish I could find a girl to fall in love with me and I not return it to her until it's to late and she dies. *sigh...

Don't worry. Starting October 3rd, this year, InuYasha: Final Act premeries in Japan. Yes, that's right. They are continuing the series from where they left off. In April of 2010, expect to see a fifth movie.
I was very dissapointed with this part in the anime. He's very cold and down right rude to her. It doesn't show that Rin has made an impact and that he's changed. This is a much better version and demonstrates that Sesshomaru has learned to be compassionate. Thanks for the post...

actually in the manga he still has tokijin before it breaks. Tokijin is destroyed in a 3 on 1 battle involving Inuyasha Sesshomaru and Kikyo against Moryomaru. All together for the first time. Episode 2 really shouldve delivered that though.
i like the song. I was so sad when I read this chapter. I know they loved eachother. I could feel it. Her death was not in vein because it helped sesshomaru grow in compassion. It was sad when he said "are you going.."
I actually think he did feel the same in a sense. He wanted to save her with Tenseiga and felt sadness and anger in his heart over Naraku killing her, which unlocks the awesome Meidou Zangetsuha technique!!! =D I think this will be the second episode in the new InuYasha series since it's going to be called "Kagura's Wind" ^^
Rumiko Takahashi is brilliant although...Kagura should have been saved, she gives more of a spark to the story, rebeling against Naraku, but yet not quite on Inuyasha's side, but even at that, falling for Inu's mysterious brother...she was smilling hey? =( Poor Kagura and Sesshy, they loved each other though they didnt admit it...
Sesshomaru doesn't love anyone. He considers love a weak emotion and that a lover would only get in his way. Kagura did, obviously, hold feelings for him though. But hey, Sesshomaru's a good-looking, powerful, wealthy individual. Heh.

but kagura's death was reasonable and it gives you a deep impression...the author is very amazing to make us feel angry just by killing a character, this proves the author is extremely skilled.
Shesshy knew that Kagura loved her and that's why he was there with her in the end. Too bad the fucked up writer ended up killing all the strong female characters. The real meaning becomes clear after her death. Given current events in the manga, I'm pretty certain that when the manga is over, hindsight will say that Kagura's death was pivotal in helping to defeat Naraku.

yeah but the manga is better cuse it more romance and tradjetys(sp?) because in the anime they couldn't put all that stuff in, they technicly ruined inuyasha a bit by making it into an anime series, but they also enhanced it and made it come to life, but i like the manga better...

That's what they say...but a person with no soul cannot love.. and well kagura had feeling for sessh she practically "loved" him...(Soul means-the emotional part of human nature; the seat of the feelings or sentiments)i think Kagura died because naraku had to die you know a good capitain dies with his crew and ship. (or at least thats what my parents always told me)And yes she was born from naraku. yes she should of lived i completly agree with you.

In the beginning, I thought Kagura was really evil. Turns out she's being controlled, I would have liked to be a good person. Poor girl she only wanted to get her heart back and be free from Naraku. This song makes her die with great sadness to us. Good job. 100/100.

To be honest..... I first really Hated Kagura because what happend after she was created and what she do to Kougas tribe and Inuyasha..... But!!!! I´m started to pity her little. She have to be Narakus slave because of Narakus has her heard and so....... Now I feel it so sad and a same that she have to die. I Really, REALLY, hoped that Kagura qould join to Inuyasha and his friends or Sesshoumaru´s team. Actully it would have better if she could joined forcers with Sesshoumaru. But sadly she have to die. The real meaning becomes clear after her death. Given current events in the manga, I'm pretty certain that when the manga is over, hindsight will say that Kagura's death was pivotal in helping to defeat Naraku.
