  • @nabisho Perfect ;-)

  • Jolson is great. Bing's great. Two different styles. Two different eras. Thanks for showing them together!!

  • two of the all time best

  • 2 of the all time greats.

  • Jolson's voice was amazing. They all copied him.

  • @ruthy102 Well no not exactly Jolson was a great minstrel Crosby was perhaps the first of the crooners, the guys who utilised the microphone and made crooning the modern art form that it became. Look down the line Sinatra,Como,Martin,Haymes,Britain's Al Bowlly all of them and more acknowledge the influence of Crosby. Later on down the line Elvis said himself that he was much influenced by Dean Martin. The ability to croon and sustain notes and make it sound easy thats crooning. Crooning = Bing.

  • It's amazingly obvious Crosby was influenced by Jolson - whom, however, he can't touch.

  • this was origionally done on Bings radio program..everytime Bing had Al on the program his raitings went through the roof !!!!!

  • What a great clip from two of the greatest entertainers of all time.
