  • going along double lines on a busy day was no the smart move and that guy that assalted you should have been nicked for that

  • What type of camera system are you using? Quality is not too bad!

  • @TheSkidpanCom ATC 3000 (you can get the 5000 now which has a useless screen at the back - also have a look at the muvi)

  • you got reg and car no sure a baseball bat or paintstripper would do trick

  • always a friendly welcome in killie town centre lol

Its a bit of a nightmare that whole area and cycle lanes absense doesnt help especially as its access for bus station and taxi rank aswell always choked

If towns busy imho i avoid and take right slip road and the 1st left past church (just were your vid starts)

  • Gotta admit you were not in an ideal situation there mate BUT FFS what an IDIOT was he ? Can you say what the outcome was ?

  • @39stonecyclist Police went for a visit to give him a warning. Fair Enough.

  • @finbat Yeah i'd be happy with that TBH

  • @finbat yeah fair play, lets hope he thinks twice.

  • As you mention, last Saturday before Christmas, roads are busy, surface looks a bit slimy, bit of rain etc, lucky you weren't knocked off the bike.

You should have waited in position at approach to roundabout, not tried to sneak up the outside in an ever decreasing gap.

  • Then you've got yourself in totally the wrong position for the roundabout and quickly lane change across the front of the car behind.

Then you start to position yourself to pass up the inside of the blue Punto before guy confronts you. You're riding erratically, how is any other road user supposed to know what you're going to do next?

Then you have the cheek to say to the guy, " You were in ma F*ckin way” You were barging your way through traffic!!!

  • @TheSmig Quite right I was in the wrong position for the roundabout, the closest one is about 1/2 a mile away. I had passed them and was in the filter lane to go straight across where else was I likely to go? I knocked on the drivers window as she decided that I wasn't there. I position myself behind the blue Punto as the road is now 2 lanes, the right lane waiting to turn into the busy car park.

  • To be fair mate, you're riding like a cock. Traffic all at standstill on approach to roundabout, you squeeze down outside of stationary cars in what appears to be a little over 2 feet of space. Black golf is reasonably close to silver ZX, when you realise you can't get past ZX as he's very close to kerb you basically pull in behind and in front of golf. No way was there enough room for you to safely pull in there.

  • That's terrible behavior from the VW driver, that would leave me so shaken up! Probably lucky the woman was driving he looked like he needs some anger management classes (not joking...)

  • @seanusmcprawnus The VW driver was the woman. He was the passenger!

  • Wouldnt have filtered there myself, but we all make that mistake atleast once. Difference is on the bike we mainly risk ourselves if we do.

His reaction however was a completely OTT. Not so sure I'd have kept my cool there so well done to you for that.

  • Sometimes I'd think that too... but when you are on the bike it does feel so much different and much easier to filter up these spaces.

  • You bully victims are all the same :-)

You give cyclists a bad name.

Hope the next one just runs you over.

    LOL

    PS love your uploads

  • mmmmmmmmm

The man on the roller skates

    HOW DAFT UR U

    LOL

    Just answer the Q

  • Yes its another roller skating conspiracy. I have a camera welded to my chest (I will leave it as an exercise for you to try and work out what mode of transport I am using - I know that working out things is quite difficult for you).

Try reading the Highway Code - sections 162,163,211-3.

    Try reading generally.

Look at the video and try to work out who is acting as a victim.

Now go and have a wee lie down after all that thinking.

  • Why are you drive'n like a learner who does'nt read our language and who's just arrived from roadless country, then acting like you were the victim. New game for would be insurance scammer (trainee).

Were you bulled as a child ?

GET HELP and a copy of the highway code book.

  • @joewallace2

Who was your comment aimed at?

  • what was u driving ?

  • hey fin.. did you notice he had his specs in his left hand..he was bluffin...you should have decked him there and then...he wouldn't have seen it comin. whit a fanny...but then again everybody from killie is a fanny. shug

  • @defidepetri

Depends if he's long sighted with monkey arms

    ;-D

  • I'm not sure I'd have been passing on the right here, the gap looked bigger on the other side. But I wasn't there.

Still, no excuse for getting physical, and if he gets away this time, he'll just gain in confidence and escalate his violence.

  • I have to agree, I should have taken the lane but was caught out with the change of lights. Normally it would have been OK but the woman driving chose to ignore the fact that I was there (why should she - I had not waited in the queue). She said she knew I was there but when I knocked on the window she locked the brakes. Fannybaws then lost the plot.

  • Oh and he has a fog lights on *and* one isn't working.

    Give him the points!

  • I wouldn't ask him to not be charged, because the chances of it are unlikely anyway. I didn't see a hit in the video, I didn't even know, hope you are okay.

Someone with that attitude shouldn't get away with it, and shouldn't be allowed to work with kids either.

Bad reaction = shouting/swearing, but not hitting imo!

I'm a bit confused though, the person that hit you, complaining you hit his car, was the male in the video and passenger in the car? and the female was the driver?

  • Updated the description. He was the passenger (that's how he got there so quickly) and smacked my face (you can see the bike lurch to one side). The reason I don't want him to have an assault conviction is that he would never be able to do any voluntary work - an I am not going to give him that excuse.

  • Voluntary work - is there a reason why you say this? I don't see this type of arrogant fool as the giving type.

I would go for trying to get him community service instead ;)

  • I think you are far too generous, he's overreacted massively, just think what he would have done if that woman had not stopped him. He should be done for ABH not assault.

I know it will never happen but I would be very happy if anyone I caught on my camera was prosecuted. The guy in my first ever upload to YouTube has recently discovered his bad driving is on the internet and has basically threatened to kill me if he ever sees me on my bike..

  • He should have gone to specsavers.

He obviously did not see you, got a fright, overeacted and blamed it on you.

If he sees this he should hang his head in shame.

  • thomase1 - Commented and I deleted by mistake

on the desc.....I'm not sure I would want him working with Children tbh.

It's hard to make it all out. Was the "you nearly hit him/knocked him over" comment from a passer by? And the women & bloke were both in the Golf?

Glad your ok...let us know what the Police do.

  • "you nearly knocked him over" was another driver.

Woman and the bloke were in the same car

Its still quite confusing for me!

  • added some dialogue - not easy. The microphone on the ATC is pretty dreadful.

  • Heck he got out of that car quick enough.

Can you give us a gist of the discussion? (can't hear it sadly).

    He really has attitude problems.
