  • oh man, this song is the best

  • great song love it.. seen them at the city hall in newcastle years n years ago

  • Timeless Class.

  • I was stationed in Scotland when this song was a hit and I loved it. The dance clubs were awesome over there and the floor would be packed with hottys when this song played

  • this song holds amazingly positive vibe.... makes me feel forever young.

  • nose porke tengo ke oirla a diario!! verdadero new wave!!!

  • this was written about Maria McKee who at age 19 wrote Feargal Sharkey's 1985 UK number one hit "A Good Heart", she wrote and recorded "Show me Heaven" as well.

  • great record - when I hear this when Paul Smith enters the ring for his fights it makes the hairs stand on end. great record. timeless

  • This was without a doubt one of my favorite bands as a teenager:) i bought the album and jammed alot with it !

  • very underated band, saw them at the rugby league grand final 2006 at old trafford, they were the headline act and were fantastic, it was like listening to the cd

  • @birdsofafeatherfan Yeah, I hear that. They mime. Still good day out though.

  • tune

  • erreur : photomatons !!

  • Je me demande si de nos jours, les ados passent encore ces moments inoubliables comme ceux que j'ai vécu avec mes amis dans les photomathons !!! A l'aube de 2012 ... je fais le chemin à l'envers !!! Wahouuuuuuuuu

  • @Iremember35

Ah bon, tu passais ton temps là-dedans ?

  • Whoo Whooooooooowooooowooooowooooowoooo

  • Song. Walking down Argyl St. in the rain on a Saturday evening in the 80s... not a care in the world.

  • I saw them support simple minds at the NEC (about 3 years ago).. gutted when they left stage !... bought a tear to my eye with the good memories i had listening to them in the 80's...

  • Good upload, cheers!

  • Love the fishbone earings. LOL

  • Love this

  • Why is there no youtube mix for Deacon Blue?????? Great group then and now! Can i make one???

  • @youngsnaps100 For sure. Love it to this day!

  • Oh my god Rosyth 1989! Did I really have a hair cut like that? Good times had memories cherished.

  • Love this song. Only heard it recently(within the last three months). Guessing they din't get much play in the states in the late 80's. Only heard of them by listening to an 80's station from London on my phone.

  • The keyboard player......very adam and the ants

  • wonderful scottish group. Never understood why they didnt get more worldwide recognition.

  • dougie vipond tae

  • @Vickyvic011

If you dislike the comments of other people do not read them! I agree however that comments not to do with the video or the genre of music are out of place. This was and remains a great song. One laments the passing of real music and talent in favour of ghastly characterless nonsense for the inert generation that is the present wave of teenagers and 20 somethings. I am Chinese and still getting used to western music but know what I prefer!!!

  • d wuevosssssssssss

  • This song is written about Maria McKee... she wrote a good heart for Feargal Sharkey and sung Show me heaven from Days of thunder and If love is a red dress from Pulp fiction. Awesome voice

  • This was the best band of the whole 80's i have all there albums.

    this music is timeless.

  • @Vickyvic011 THATS BECAUSE EVEYONE WAS PILLED UP ON E

  • It's weird when there are lots of replies to a crazy troll & then that offensive original post gets deleted. It's like "That troll must have been really crazy b/c everyone's calling him a racist twat". Anyhow, I'm an American and I never heard this good song in the 80s!

  • Best Song ever...Johnny and Sharon Moondance...Glasgow of course!!

  • where were they from..?/?

  • Yeah the septics only listened to Kokomo. Blessing in disguise really that they ignore these Scottish bands who made the best music in that era.

  • Such an underated band which despite numerous fantastic songs sadly managed to slip under the global hit radar.

  • @vegas2004 Yeah, I hear that, Most Irish bands did slip under the radar until U2 made it cool to be Irish.

  • @rfcsahinrfc deacon blue are scottish lol

  • @tardis709 Lol no. I take it your Scottish so feel the need to make things up. Poor show. Scots claim anyone who stepped foot in Glasgow as their own.

  • @rfcsahinrfc - errrrm...Deacon Blue ARE Scottish. The band was formed in Glasgow, and its memebrs were all born in various parts of Scotland. Bit of a FAIL there (I'm English, incidentally).

  • RIP Graeme Kelling

  • Classic 80's tune

  • good dundee band

  • @aldooraffs THEY ARE NOT A FUCKING DUNDEE BAND FFS!

  • @IwudDie4You they are from dundee

  • @aldooraffs They formed in Glasgow.

    Don't reply, it's simply a fact.

Really, don't,....even though you want to.

Given how wrong you are with the basic stuff...Google can be your friend. :-)

    Great band.

  • @aldooraffs No, one of the band members was originally from Dundee, the rest of the band are from Glasgow... the band was formed in Glasgow!. Thus becoming a Glasgow band (not Dundee)

  • proud to be scottish, proud to be born in the 80s, proud to love music!!!!

  • Head like a fucking orange...

  • What a Group for the 80s these were brilliant Ricky and Lorraine what great voices pity todays music is not like they were

  • if they are only ever remembered for this song, what an absolute belter!!

  • this song should go on for dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys!!!!!!

  • GOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD IS THE SONG

  • I'm Robyn from Australia and taught at St Columba with Ricky for a year. It's great to hear that this song is still remembered. Saw the group when they came to South Australia YEARS ago.

  • Like if you saw these at Belladrum!

  • awesome band love em xxxxxxxxxx

  • i wish i had a time machine so that i could go back to the greatest time this today's sick planet has ever know, the 80's! A tome when the west was stil for the western people, and not for fucking immigrants who suck our social security dry and ask what our western countries can/ must do for them, instead of asking what they can do for our countries!

  • @3DPeter

    Spot on

  • @3DPeter I agree with you however it's not just the immigrants that are making Britain a hostile place to live the youth of Britain are a total bloody lost cause most of them. No respect, no manners and no soul.

  • time*

  • @3DPeter couldn't agree more

  • @3DPeter Amen to that :)

  • @3DPeter "instead of asking what they can do for our countries" - !!!!! Are you serious? Or just ignorant? If you don't know what the 3rd world has done for the West, you must've been sleeping through history lessons. Ever heard of the word "colonialism"? What's happening now is just payback time. Instead of complaining about immigrants get off your ass and find a job and don't blame them for your laziness.

  • Comment removed

  • @3DPeter What a load of tosh. I'm British and I love bands like Deacon Blue, Aztec Camera, Johnny Hates Jazz and Hue & Cry - music is universal regardless of colour, creed or name. I play music like this in my local pub every weekend and thank god I don't have someone like you sitting there at the end of the bar. Everyone is happy, singing and dancing along to the classics with a pint in their hand a smile on their face.

As other people have said: look up colonialism and LEARN something.

  • LOVE THIS BAND THERE WERE BRILLANT XXXXXXXXXXX

  • Going to watch them tmora in my hometown Liverpool

  • @gazz12345a Yeah good idea. Maybe I could try and convince the 29 doofuses who dislike this video to join the band. They are probably too busy watching Justin Bieber videos though

  • 29 dislikes, why? What is wrong with you?

  • How come I can't stop listening to this song? Is it because it's an unforgettable 80's hit? Or because Ricky and Lorraine sing so perfectly in duet? Maybe the catchy melody is to blame? Or just simply because it's Deacon Blue? (;

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes, seeing these live for the fourth time on friday, only fifteen and seen them every year since i was 11 ;D

  • the girl seems the soul of this wonderful song

  • 1987, 88, 89 were my teenage years where ricky ross and crew filled my days with wonderful melodies and tunes. I loved Lorraine's sweet voice filling in the song. There's a thing about Glasgow and the music that came out of there in the 80's

  • @905hobo Yep - it was a magic time for Scottish music. Unique.

  • @onetoomany10 hahaha like it.,,the more you say it the funnier it gets.

  • MY YOUTH,,,, I'M CRYING.
