  • nice little two stroke

  • good job...thanks for the review

  • Dear god could you prime that thing any more?. I wonder how flooded that engine was. Also that bar is only to engage the auger its not to start it. If you tilt the unit forward a little the auger will hit the ground and pull it though the snow. Finally snow throwers don't need air filters because they are not used in dusty conditions.

  • No dust in the winter time. No need for an air filter. You'll never see one on a snowblower.

  • so. power prepelled means that the auger will pull the Machine along when engaged. ALSO i noticed at first that you pulled the auger bar when you pulled the cord. dont. it ads more strain to you and on the rope. its not a bail-bar like a mower

  • .024 - to .027 plug gap It looks like a Tecumsey engine, however i doubt it will pick up any more than 1 to 2 inches of powdered snow As you already had one of these blowers id of bought some new sneakers a plug wrench and a feeler gage at wallmart lol

  • Techumsa Engines (Good Engines), The "Air Vane" Govener won't let it "OVER" REV., when It bites into the snow, the rpm's drop, and the throttle advances. The float bowl design (factory tuned venturi in the float bowl bolt) is newer to eliminate the "Jets" and the associated problems w/them.

  • nvm u saw it in the vid later

  • lol at the bar it says impeller control XD

  • but will it blend ?

  • dude you flooded it! you cant press the bulb that many times and you cant pull that many times!

  • In the winter there isent much dust, thats why!!!

  • Almost all snowblowers dont have an air filter...

  • But will it start on -20 degrees of Celsius?

  • This guy is a f**king tard!

  • @chloebeightol how?

  • were you buy it ??? I love the small egnines pls call me and I will Buy a lot

  • there is no air filter because there is no dust in the winter

  • I know this is a 2 year old video, but thanks for posting.

I'd love to see the cover off the clutch or whatever it is that engages/disengages the paddles to see how it works.

Lastly, it would have been interesting to see the plugs swapped back again now that both were running and see if it was flooding that caused the original plug to not work.

  • Daniel, your right! They are as loud as heck! :)

  • they dont need an air filter because theirs no dust to suck in in the winter with snow

  • you sound like a 9 year old jerry seinfeld whos ODing on sugar

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty sure those are tecumsehs, where did you get that tachometer? thats sweet

  • i hope you mixed your fuel with oil

  • you are with out a word to lie are ether high from the exhaust fumes or overloaded on surgar cookies

  • it looks like it should have an airfilter yu might wanna consider it too cause from there it goes right to the cylinder and it certainly looks like it has the holes to fasten an airfilter

  • @dfx961 Like that other guy said IN THE WINTER YOU DONT NEED ONE THERES NOTHING IN THE AIR

  • @MsGreg43 what the hell are you talking about you could get snow or anything in the carb and end the damn thing

  • @dfx961 Snow wouldent end the engine the carb dosent suck in enough presure to suck in rain or snowflakes.

  • @MsGreg43 doesnt matter if it would suck it in or not the thing is driving through snow it could easily get in there plus the snow is being sprayed and if its floating down it could easily get in there

  • this guy acts and talks like he is a little kid overloaded with sugar cookies

  • im sorry nd i no it sounds fake but i said atleast 4000 RPM

  • ha ha ha sunbeam its got the same name as my blender and they both have suzuki engines and yeah there really good engines

  • ha ha ha sunbeam its got the same name as my blender

  • the paddles pull the machine around

  • snow blowers dont really need air filters cause the air is moist and theres not a whole lot of dirt in the air

  • Snow blowers typically dont have air filters. My 8hp tecumseh blower doesnt.

  • nice work u shud of took park plug out and seen weather it worked in stead of putting tht moniter thing u put to the lead

  • It says: Aircap.... AircCRAP. Just a joke. Nice snowblower for a 25$

  • sounds like my friends rx7

  • no air filter cause they are normaly used the winter and there is rarly dust in the winter

  • well holy shit! i guessed 4000-4010 rpm's!

  • The bar is for safety, you let go and it should shut off..

  • sounds like my enticer 340 at idle

  • no dust in wintertime like every snowblower is like that

  • that thing sounds really cool.

  • snowblowers dont have air filters b/c no dust in winter.

  • You took a spark plug out with a crescent wrench. That's Gay use a park plug socket. I mean it works but come on now you got a you tube channel be sorta professional about it. I know you got a spark plug socket somewhere.

  • let it warm up .

  • haha. time for new shoes. that was funny considering the fact that they looked like garbageto begin with. u dont waste do u?

  • dont you know not to swap spark plugs each plug has a unique gap used for specific engines.

  • @predxene and there are peices of metal to set the gaps, if you need to do it go to the dealer and say...

i need a spatk plug for my snowblower, it is a .... and they can set up the gap

  • @fergfergferg123 or you could buy a feeler guage and look online for tghe gap for that model and you would be set or you could just take in the plug that was in the blower and they could just get you 1 for like 2$

  • @predxene it doesn't really matter on single cylinder engine that is relativly new, only on older engines

  • @fergfergferg123 actualy it does matter greatly if you do or dont on newer or older engine if you dont have the right plug then most likely the fuel/air mixture wont burn right. and btw that snowbloer looks to be about 5-8 years old.

  • @predxene WoW seriously...

  • @fergfergferg123 yes seriously and btw did you know you primed it like 40+ times ? and you only need like 5-6 rofl

  • @predxene This isn't my video retard go and play on World wartcraft

  • @fergfergferg123 why are so many people on youtube such asses the few ruin it for the many. i mean really im just a stupid 15 year old kid that can take a 350 apart clean it and put it back together and running in a day but thats irrelevant it seems like some people on youtube cant resist the temptation to call someone a name... for no aparent reason when they did nothing to offend them. makes them look like an ass with no life.

  • @predxene ye

  • smoke is good,, it will keep the snow muskeeters away. stop saying sweet, your not dave

  • and the one doesnt have a carb bowl cause it has diaphragms witch pumps the gas

  • i have a Bolens with a 8HPTecumseh and it has no air filter either.. the reason why they dont have air filters because you bloin snow and there is snow on the ground and there is very little to no dust being kicked up . just about all snowblowers have no air filters

  • This guy does not seam to know much about engines even though I have to give him props for at least trying... He flooded it and got the plug wet before he even gave it a pull... Stable is for storing fuel not starting.... Air filters are not needed in the winter due to there being no dust. Then he swapped out the old plug with one that wasn't wet with gas and was all excited thinking he fixed something. And then it smoked like a bitch due to the shit ton of fuel he primed in and the stable.

  • Is that a Tecumseh engine?

  • my dads has no air filter too 2stage blower

  • my motor tag is tecumseh....and our motor look the same

  • wait, i have the same motor!!!hey do you no how many horse that blower is?... .5hp 1hp????

  • if you see the cover it says 3hp

  • i had one exactly like it,it was junk but it had a good motor, i have a bad video of it, ill try tomrrow to get a better one

  • Sounds like a chainsaw on crack.

  • it's jetted for winter.

  • i cant hear the briggs!

  • any update for testing it?

  • OMG I cant watch your videos anymore.... good luck with everything. dont try to fix a real engine.

  • You didnt even check for spark properly. All you did is see that there was power GOING to he plug. not the plug itself. throw away that hour meter thing.

  • I can't belive you didnt have enough sense to drain the bowl of the carb, or check the carb or anything your supposed to do. I thought you were supposed to be mechanically inclined. I hope you dont work at that machine shop.

  • It smokes so bad because the carberator is tuned to be a like 35 deg. or less

  • why they need no air filter in the winter time is because there is not dust and no reason the filter the air all snowbloweres are that way

  • wow look that smokes to,u think its 2 stoke? that might be why EPA,i baneing 2 stokes, let me know how the carb ,work goes!

  • how much dust do u see when it snows,if ur air clean gets warm and wet when its cold out it will freeze and cut ur air off, thats way snowbolies dont have air cleaners !!!!

  • cool drill starter cool machienes

  • now that looks way way too much like a toro.... and old one....

  • Its a float-type carb 0_o whats it doing on a 2 stroke engine??? aren't those supposed to be used on 4 strokers?? normally?? can you change the carb?

    PS NICE! XD

  • the diafragm type carb is used for engine witch moves in all directions. Those engines does not change de direction, they still horizontal-shafted.

  • guess we all learn something new every day :P

  • hey Daniel can you make a vid showing how the on/off switch is wired to the engine? i bought a switch for my 5hp briggs and i have no idea how to wire it!

  • when you engage it pull up on the handel bars and the propelers make it power propeled

  • look at 12:14 it used to have an electric starter because of the teeth on the back of the flywheel

  • wow my 5hp briggs runs only 3600 RPM at full throttle, btw how do you install and hour/ tach meter like that? and where did u get that meter?

  • Snowblowers and Snowmobiles don't have air filters because there's no dust or dirt in the winter.

  • The old spark plug was probably flood wet with old gas, and when you installed a dry one it fired.

  • u should see the snow blower i got for $5 and its a 2 stage.

  • Comment removed

  • you dont need to hold the engaging handle down so you no

and it dont need an air filter because the engine can suck up snow because its made for winter unlike summer when it would suck up all that dust

  • no snowblowers have air cleaners because thyre ment for winter and it dosent hurt the engine to suck up snow unlike in summer when its dusty

  • Water is water pal, you need something to at least slow it down. If it doesn't have a Air cleaner how does it keep from Hygolocking???

  • just shut the hell up i aint going to argue with some asshole

  • haha i got a toro snow blower like that and it starts the same pull and pull and pull

  • I have one of those engines on my bike

  • im trying to put one on mine how did u mount yours?

  • theres no air filter because in the winter you dont need one. there is no dust in winter

  • yeah hes right, also the propel comes from the rubberpaddles pushing you forward against the ground. The wheels dont propel at all.

  • found a pocketbike in the garbage asked the guy if i can take it he said yes , and said it aint working so i put in 2 stroke oil and gas and it fired up perfectly.

  • i got a chainsaw for 10, had a small fuel leak, fixed it, and runs great.

  • Nice buy. You should have checked the spark plug first. Every summer when i first start my mower's back up/leaf blower's i take all the spark plugs out and spray them down with brake cleaner that always does the trick .Also the Erratic idle you hear and the smoke you see is probably carbon build up and moisture from the gas sitting in it for so long. Gas does break down into all the different elements after a month or so.

  • Enough of the SWEET.....thats dave`s word.....

  • if you meen Davidsfarm then Oh ya!

  • the lever on the handel is ur clutch also known as a nother fast kill switch

  • holy shit you prime it waaaaaay too much

  • 2:17-2:22 im guessing its the spark plug

  • where did u get that tach

  • The only logical reason i can see that the snowblower doesnt have an air filter is because when your using it its in the winter, so no dust just snow...

  • is that a 12.5 hp/ 42 inch mtd rider in the garage?

I got one thats currently apart and Im repairing and "customizing"

  • its prolly flooded.

  • get new shoes

  • nice shoes!!

  • Am a 10 year old kid thats loves lawn mowers and snowblowers. Do you think he will give me a snowblower for free

  • you do know that craig's list isn't a person....its a website

  • sorry , my son isnt supposed to comment on here . and no , sadly I dont think he does , lol . hes also 11 , not 10 hahahaa

  • No dust in the winter. Snow Mobiles dont have them either.

  • opps took your comment should have read the page first! sorry!

  • I said 4,000 rpms. and it was exactly that, congrats on getting the snowlower running Daniel, I am sure that it is higher though.

  • Daniel, None of my snoblowers have air filtrers. there 4 strokes and2 stages. Plus have the time it is the spark plug on an egine like that,

  • smokes like a bitch

  • i thought it would be 4500 to 5000

  • hey do you think you can find a honda harmony hrb215 and do a few how to videos that would be greatly apprecated

  • the spark plug is the first thing i wold have checked. i don't think it has a air filter because its meant for snow sow there should not be dust. the smoke will be from flooding the shit out of it.

  • Do you think you can rebuild the lawnboy?

  • Probably not. It is missing a lot of critical parts, such as the carb. But it would be a neat take-apart project.

  • @DanielJaegerFilms You could message Davidsfarm for the lawnboy parts. He might have the ones you need for free.

  • same engine as my gmas toro, SC-200

    is it a briggs?

  • I'm not sure. There's no name brand, but I heard it might be Tecumseh or Suzuki.

  • iv herad they may bee suzuki, but who knows, i love ym grandmas toro like ur toro, it still runs strong

  • @DanielJaegerFilms probably tecumseh how do u have a you tube channel about small engine stuff but you seems so clueless about everything you do or either not confident enough.

  • i love the exaust on these, it just goes whereever

  • If I had to guess why it didn't start it'd be that you flooded it. Better too little than too much priming, IMO.

  • is that your lawnboy at 8:38? can you start it please

  • Yes, that's a lawnboy, but unfortunatley, the engine is locked up. Someone gave me that for free, they ran it without 2 cycle fuel.

  • a man my snow blower cost me $500

    were you get yours?

  • I got this one on craigslist

  • cool i think i got my good to casue i got a $800 lawn tractor $500 snow blower $100 wheel wheights and chains for $600

  • sweet...

  • great job! but id really love to have a full size snowblower. wouldnt you? but take what you can for $25!!! lol good work.

  • Very Nice Daniel. Toro appeared to have quite the input in that design. I think they used Tecumseh or Suzuki engines in some of them. That one with no bowl ob the carb, probably has a diaphragm on it.

By Power Propel, the auger paddles actually are supposed to pull it along, which you might have lift the handle up if you want a cleaner swipe or if the paddles are doing their job, requiring paddle replacement.

  • Only $25.00 WOW LOL Now thats what I call a score! Oh oh, she don't wanna start for you, thats not good. You need new shoes dude LOL. I know, having no air filter is a great way to get moisture inside the engine and fu*&% things up. Yep, in cases such as this, its a simple thing of replacing the sparkplug hehe. Glad you got it going, what a score. Thanks for sharing!

    Peace :)

  • great video and buy! lol i guessed around 25 maybe 2900 but 4000 nice.

  • I have that exact same tach on my Quad! Cool vid, Daniel.

  • it needs a good carb cleaning

  • now all you need is snow! lol

nice video glad you got it running for cheap

  • if snow blowers would have air filters they would get wet and motors dont like water

  • your flywheel is keyed for a starter motor

  • some things are picky on spark plugs like my 2 hp briggs.

LOL! i guessed 4000 RPM and look at that!

  • that primer pumps air into the fuel bowl to make it squirt into the engine.. you really didn't need to push it so many times lol

it smokes so much because it is running 32:1 gas, I would try 40:1 or 50:1 amsoil in it, should be plenty of lubrication.

  • All SnowBlowers have no air filter cause there's no dust or dirt in the winter season, our new 11HP Briggs has no air filter either.

  • snowblowers pretty much never have air filters.

Think about it.. if it's snowing, how much dust could possibly be in the air anyway?

  • sounds like a awsome deal! she runs good
