  • The whole scene just screams epic. Beckett is my favorite antagonist in this whole entire series, he was such a perfect manipulator to get what he wanted.

  • Aw Lord Cutler Beckett was my fav =(

  • Have you seen how they filmed this scene? It's like 3 shots layered together.

  • It's says BANGS and endevadior sunk (LOL)

  • My opinion about LB's death:

    1) He was a political manipulator, not a field commander. He thought he just had to walk in at the end of the battle and claim the glory. When suddenly faced with a dangerous situation, he didn't have the wits and guts to do what had to be done.

    2) He was shocked because he had been outwitted. He just couldn't accept that his masterful plan of controlling the Dutchman had suddenly backfired.

Anyway, epic scene, epic music and epic performance!

  • :34 The Biggest Holy Shit Moment in any movie!

  • Beckett has the 2nd best death scene of the franchise. #1 is Cpt.Jack's death in Dead Man's Chest.

    " 'Ello, beastie."~Captain Jack Sparrow

  • I don't understand this. Can someone please explain? "It's just good business" I'm so confused, I don't know what the hell is going on!

  • @RSNJessica

"It's just good buisness." Essentially it means that Beckett and the EITC will be better recieved if all the Brethen are whiped out. At least that is how I look at it.

  • 2:32 it's just good buisness pwned by your own lines

  • Just to let you guys know, The Endeavor didn't fire back because the orders to fire are given by the captain. And Beckett didn't give any orders. But he still could give the orders, this is true, but he's just gone mentally crazy. He just doesn't look like it.

  • 3:19 to 4:00 Best! Death! Ever!

  • That.. IS FOR THE KRAKEN, YOU BASTARD BECKETT!!

  • A good captain always goes down with his ship.

  • beckett was cool, he faced his death head on. and the british empire was awesome. don't like it too bad, elf off.

  • man that last part be sad...

  • Finally all pirate captains agreed. Fire!!! Fire!!! Fire!!!! Death to beckett and death to foul british empire. In real life, british empire is even deader than beckett.

  • beckett is ugly xDD

  • at 3:21 he's like sitting bowl

  • out of commission become a pilbox, out of ammo become a bunker, out of time...become heroes

  • I think "it's just good business" was code for abandon ship.

  • 'Inception xD

  • If a captain loses his ship, he suffers a court marshell.

If a captain loses His life aswell, he is a hero.

  • i think i just found my excuse for everything :p

    its just...good buisness.

  • Damn Pirates. M-Maybe He's ok? :(

  • @jeckyllhyd Damn East India Trading Company. Fortunetly, they are dead like their irl namesake. Thus die all scum.

  • will be naming my first first rate on empire total war after this guy :p

  • @hacktheplanet000 You are an idiot. beckett was a worthless scum, his death was the only good scene with him.

  • 0:34 Epic moment...

  • boat-by shooting.

  • Justice is served. When i first saw this, i said YES over and over again.

  • ''It's just good business''... He Died as a true patriot....

  • @laparca8888 beckett died like a cowardly scum he was. Death to all like him.

  • @Narania234 are you mental? Lord Beckett did not die like cowardly scum, cowardly scum would have tried to escape and save themselves, the REAL pirates of the Caribbean were the cowardly scum looting and stealing ships and murdering innocent people. Lord Beckett would have been the Protagonist in real life, he was trying to stop the evil cowardly scum (the pirates), but of course Hollywood glorifies the pirates. Lord Beckett died like a brave leader.

  • @BladeMasterOfRohan12 I could not agree with you more, lord beckett was only trying to save his king and country from these heartless pirates.

  • @laparca8888 bekett now suck cocks in Hell.

  • @laparca8888

totally agree, rest in peace Lord Beckett.

  • honorably

  • That's how i want to die

  • How does he manage not to get a splinter from all those flying wood pieces?

  • @bossgamer98

his face is very flat, that's why none of the splinters hit him..

  • @bossgamer98 He was already dead long before he began walking down those steps.

  • @Apocalyptism

    Um...how do you know?

  • Google used to have Excellent business, then Very Good business. Now they are gonna stick to "Just" good for their stand on business:) FACEBOOK has Excellent business. Play it again Sam. "Its "just" good business Jack."... I agree LORD Beckett:)

  • FUCKING EPIC!!1

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya she actually said 'Fire all'...

  • EPIC!!!!!

  • it's a beatiful scene with a special song:)

  • Most epic death ever!

  • @IncognitoObserver Beckett died like a spineless coward, unable to even fight. becket tnow suck cocks in Hell.

  • With no ghost ship leverage (advantage), in his mind, the batlle was lost. So he ended the war right there by doing nothing

  • for al lthose who are wondering why the endavour didnt fight back is because they didnt have the order too if they did they getck to england or wherever face the crown and its bye bye to the good life

  • Actually i dont really see your point. To me, he didn't fire due to this: ( more complex than it seems) Who ever had the Ghost ship leverage would not die and would win adversary, so actually he had no chance and by not responding and let the ship be destroyed he actually save all the other fleet. At an end with these possibllities online no real solution probably came to his mind.

  • Adding to this, i wouldn't say he died, as a man falls into the sea over a West Indies flag..

  • If it's any commemoration, Beckett died the most epic death in FILM history

    That's saying something

  • @StitchV2 Who said he died ... :).

  • @myiotube Me and my eyes, Savvy? :)

  • 2:04 barbossa spits

  • 3:23 Target's still fine...

  • This is so epic.

  • Probably one of the best scenes ever. Especially from about 3:20.

  • This scene gives CB a noble death. Tom Hollander is awesome in that by the end of it you actually feel sorry for such a loathsome character.

  • I always wondered if they knew what reloading was...

  • a man goes down with his ship. He missed all those potential splinters????

  • @cloudfeatherxX He was too busy dying nobley like a man to be harmed by mere splinters.

  • @cloudfeatherxX He had a space shield :D

  • The maelstrom until the death of Cutler Beckett is the most epic scene in the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy par none

  • Epicest death ever,

I wanna die this way LOL

  • One of the best naval battle scenes i've seen in a long time.

The Character of Lord Beckett was a true English patriot and was really a good man who served EITC and Britain.

    R.I.P. Beckett

  • The Black Pearl for the win!

  • The only thing that bothers me about this clip, is a minor thing. At the speed all three ships were moving, even with the crew of both ships moving at super-human speed it would have been impossible to cause that much damage in one pass, especially the scene where the railing is destroyed as Beckett walks down the stairs. No way you get that many cannon balls fired so quickly, and that accurately in such a short time.

  • shouldnt of sunk in the first place, damaged yes, but these ships historically pounded each other to pieces and didn't sink

  • @adamlikestoshank

it hit the amo dump so it would of exploded so actually its correct.

But the English ship would of detroyed the other 2 ships because of its size and agility unless they hit the amo dump

  • @flighty1996

well.the magazine's are deep inside the ship below the waterline, the fixed elevation of their guns really does not give them the ability to shoot that low, and round shot rarely starts fires if at all. the magazine would flood before it blew up. these ships historically pummeled ships of similar sizes for hours at close range rarely ending in an explosion or even immediate sinking.

1st rates are not very agile ships but their broadside would be very destructive.

  • @adamlikestoshank

well think about it, if hundreds of scoulding splinters are flying around its gnna make the place hot. If something catches alight and lights something the impact could easily blow up the ship. Also these are 2 reasonably large ships that are attacking it

  • I dunno, it's pretty simple to me. Beckett knew he'd lost no matter what. If by some miracle of chance he fought back, and his vessel managed to limp back to England.. he'd still have to answer to the crown. I think he'd rather go down with his ship than be stripped of his title and face ignominy and shame the rest of his life.

  • There is STILL no way two third rates fourth rates like the Pearl and D-man could of taken apart a first rate like that, The first rate would of blown them to matchwood

  • @1MagicAndMayhem1 Ye but the didnt return fire

  • It would be funny if start to walk on the stairs 2 seconds late :p

  • If I would have been becket there were laying pirate ribs on my plate tonight =)

  • Hehe Amazing that a First rate ship of the line cannot withstand one broadside from 2 inferior ships xD

  • @danuk500

i know eh. they needed a quick ending, in reality the endeavor would be just too much for them.

  • @adamlikestoshank

    also lol at the description

  • @danuk500 Indeed The enavour could certainly take them down but did any1 see how fast the endavour was going considering the size of that ship =)

  • @TheThipod Haha it's actually a sloop lol! (if you don't know what a sloop is, it is a very small ship that is very fast and easy to turn with little firepower and hull strength

  • @danuk500

in that case its even more unbelievable, a sloop would get demolished just like they always do in ETW also the rate of fire from the two ships is also ridiculous what is this an arnie movie?

  • @adamlikestoshank Lol xD

  • best death scene ever.

  • Had Beckett not being such as ididot like sticking the Dead Man's Chest on the the Endeavour and not the Dutchman, and not killed Govenor Swann, he would have won, he also would have had Admiral Norrington on his side still probably, he would have been able to lead the armada.

  • 3:20 - 3:46 chuck norris walks in the same atmosphere daily :0

  • 1:11 Farwell starfish!!

  • i dunno why but this scene always annoyed me becketts ship still had more fire power on either side but obviously they wanted as dramatic a ending as possible...

  • @Ramzzy666

yes.... It is impossible that a ship like the black pearl would have destroyed the endeavour in 3 minutes...

After all, it's just a movie. In real life, endeavour would have destroyed them.

  • @BENJACHEMIST This movie was junk compared to the previous two films of the series, in terms of plot and some stuff like this final scene, they rushed this film's production if you ask me still a good couple of unaswered questions as well.

  • Elizabeth actually shouts "Fire all!"

But "FRARER!" sounds funnier. So I'll stick with that.

  • the music is amazing great

  • cool guys are IN an explosion.

  • Methinks that Beckett was just so utterly hit by the shock of seeing that he's lost the war he suffers a blue screen of death. He calmly strolls down to the deck of his ship, rebooting himself as everything around him is blown to smithereens.

It's almost beautiful, in a way.

  • @NicholasGeschke No when a ship is being destroyed must the captain stay at the ship when it sinks

  • The captain sinks with his ship

  • There can only be one captain of the Flying Dutchman. And his name is not Will Turner.

  • @LightStijn you’re right. it would be pretty cool if davy jones was a good guy.

  • "It just good business"

  • The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise should have ended with the third one.

  • @chulk90 well, they're making a 5th and 6th movie and shooting them back to back. Starting 2013

  • @bossgamer98 u know what there about?

  • @rapfan79 they haven't said anything about that, they just said that and that filming for the 5th one will start this summer

  • why didnty he fire? that ship was a first rate ship of the line

  • Jack Sparrow - "Fire"

    Gibbs - "FIRE"

    Will Turner - "Fire!"

    Captain Barbossa - "FIRE"

    Elizabeth Swann - "FRARER"

hahahahah. 1:59 if you want to see what im talking about :p

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya she is saying "Fire All"

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya

    Elizabeth says fire all...

  • Comment removed

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya classic elizabeth trying to be one of the men.

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya She said "Fire All", not "Frarer",

  • @quila001 you know, I do believe everyone when they say "Fire All" is what she said but honestly I have listened to it 100 times and I dont hear her saying that. What she says ends in a R and not a L. I believe everyone but you cant deny what it sounds like :)

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya Its more like: ''VIRAL'' XD

  • @Seeeeeeeeeeeya yes i think it's fire all she's saying

  • Talk about getting a shitload of fucking splinters

  • to bad turner didn't show up in the fourth movie to blow off some heads

  • I really liked how Jack did what he did but mostly i liked when Will came back as Captain Turner ( will is so gorgous).

  • Once again, Jack takes advantage of an ancient pirate legend for his own ends.

  • Barbossa's "FIRE" is badass haha

  • ...it's just...good business...

  • Chuck norris walks this epic of his stairs

  • favourite scene of all 4 movies

  • am I the only one who thinks that's sad that the most beautiful ship went down, also if lord becket had ordered fire he would still have more canons to fire with i suppose, so I find that rather stupid of him to stop talking. (just saying)

  • "Cool guys don't look at explosions" :D

  • great scene and great music

  • Cutler Beckett- great strategist, terrible tactician

  • that pilot/helper to lord beckett looks alot like george michael.thumbs up!!!

  • 3:10 - 3:44 WOW In all of that, no splinters, cannon balls, or even explosions hit him. I wish I was that lucky.

  • oops I blinked, can you show me that again?

  • 1:10 Patrick Star

  • The man falling down on the flag in the water... Was that Beckett?

  • @LittleMissWesker

    yes that was Beckett

  • awww nooo wyy???

  • He had it coming.

  • 3 people did not know it was good business!

  • For those who play Grand Theft Auto, this is the pirate equivalent of a 'drive-by'. And an epic one at that.

  • @siashimi More like, "Dear God in Heaven! That formerly cursed pirate ship and that haunted two decker that rose up from the depths of the ocean just blasted away the magazine of a Ship of the Line! In one broadside!"

"Signal the fleet to wear about, orderly withdrawal, but move smartly now!"

  • Love Tom Hollander. Terrific actor.

  • If I was beckett I would have said fire all, just sayin

  • @superFrontrunner yeah, so would i

  • @siashimi The pirates have the Flying Dutchman on their side. Enough said...

  • very good quality

  • Lord Beckett represents the British when someone wins a load from them at poker.

  • @MiiVersusReeseman888 It's not as awesome as you'd think. It happens to every staircase I touch, and I am constantly digging splinters out of my ass.

  • Gibbs:''Captain ?!'' Jack:(whispers) fire! Gibbs: FIRE! Will: FIRE! Barbossa:FIRE(spits) Elizabeth:FIR-ARGHH. DERP DERP,THEY TUK UR JOB XD!!!

  • @siashimi XD

  • EPIC scene...especially when the Flying Dutchman appeared out of the water =) But i never understood why Beckett didn't fire...his ship's got more cannons than the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman combined =/

  • @coolpromania I've always wondered why too. It would have been an awesome fight

  • Beckett couldn't take out the Dutchman no matter what...he should have just turned into the Pearl and taken them out with him.

  • I think the appropriate term is; Never mess with Pirates.

  • he didnt yell fire because he was traumatized

  • To defeat the pirates, Beckett just had to say fire

  • Press 8 for EPIC

  • Why he didn't just yell "Fire"? The sheer firepower of the Endeavor would most likely take them both down.

  • wasn't there a painting of this some where

  • this is sooo unrealistic

  • @puck889 umm what did you expect? the entire franchise started with zombie pirates / cursed gold. however the ship exploding at the end had me laughing.

  • @HeyPoi i mean how the flying dutchman and pearl r able to completly destroy a first rate in less then five minutes

  • @puck889 lol like it was a giant wood chipper, expect event a giant wood chipper would've taken longer too.

  • Endeavor was a beautiful ship, too bad she had to go down like that.

  • I can imagine this being a final scene of a romantic movie where he and his love interest are walking towards each other, not getting hit by a single cannonball or debris, then when they're finally together he's like " It's just good business my dear" BOOM BLAM POW BOOM BOOM BAM BAM BANG.

  • @siashimi you've been watching naruto abridged way too much.

  • pause at 3:45 that would be a bad ass painting :P

  • This is rubbish Thats a second rate ship of the fucking line, Even with both that flyte and pearl blasting away they wouldnt of stood a chance, The Endev- would of blown both of them to matchwood, Her cannons were heavier, she had more of them and her boards newer and stronger, Why couldnt she fire back!?
