K'tinga may derive from D7, but i dont think they should be considered part of same class. it's like saying essex class carrier and yorktown same because look same or a t72 and a t80 same model because share design features. besides there are 2 trek episodes which refers to them by respective names: DS9 trials & tribulations, tng the emissary so idea they 2 diff classes maybe canon . besides suspect klingons comission new/old design keep people guessing & because share old design with romulans

God I love the music from the original Star Trek. TOS had the best music. They had movie quality music. All the other spin-off shows had forgettable generic music, including TNG, which stole its main theme from the first TOS movie. The main theme music for DS9 and Voyager were okay.

Ok. hate to be one of THOSE people. But the Refit models were the Enterprise Class. They had put the Enterprise in for a refit, found that because of all the changes they had to make to it, it was basically a new ship. So, the first ship to undergo that refit, the Enterprise, became the name of the class. The Constitution was never an active duty ship, it was a Prototype to the new Heavy Cruiser class ship.

Ah, the D-7. My favorite Klingon design. It's regrettable the TNG era focused so heavily on the BoP, which was not only originally a Romulan design but just isn't as pretty.

It appears to be a pre-K'tinga D-7 with additional hull detailing, probably the model used in Trials and Tribble-ations. The lack of a forward (and aft) photon tube gives it away.

This is a transitional period in ship design. From the time TOS to the beginning of TMP. It is between them two eras.

At 2:20, what the hell does a transport have any business going into battle??? All she has is phasers, low powered at that. And no photon torpedos. They are NOT meant for combat. And the destroyers (single warp nacelle ships) are much more robust than was depicted. =Stefan=
