This is Michelle Branch's 'I'd rather be in Love' NOT Vanessa Carlton. They both came out about the same time but they are not really alike, voice or style. Vanessa is/was an angst princess and Michelle's pop-y. I would suggest "Who's to Say" for a Vanessa Carlton love song.
