A lesser known Jim Elliot quote but my favorite was his prayer: "Father make me a crisis man. Bring those I come into contact with to decision. Make me not a milepost on a single road. Make me a fork, that men must choose one way or the other when facing Christ in me."
I love you Lord, with all my heart, You've given me a brand new start. <3
I went to Nate Saints house, the house in these picutres when I spent a month in Ecuador over the summer. It ws so beautiful and moving. It was amzaing.
The stories of these men and wives have inspired me, and helped me realize Gods calling me to be a missionary.
I saw the movie but liked the book better. What an amazing testimony to God overcoming man and fulfilling His plan. I'm sure from the world's point of view it was a waste. 5 lives gone.....in the realm of eternity blood is never wasted. The blood of Christ and the blood of His saints are the seed of the church.
there is a movie made about these missionaries, but i forgot what it was called, if anyone knows what im talking about please let me know what that movie was called, thanks!
@robbyreed1023 Thanks! That Movie is amazing! i saw part of it a few years ago but i didnt remember it well, and i didnt remember the name of the movie.
I have to admit that for me – and I say this as a Christian – part of what made the original Cohen version so special was its juxtaposition of the holy and the 'profane' (though there's actually no such thing imho), doubt and faith, something this version bleaches out. Still, very accomplished for what it is, and the tribute to these missionaries is very touching.
“Another Hallelujah” by Lincoln Brewster impacted me because I thought it was sad because people died and knew that they were going to die and yet, Jim’s wife and kids told other people about Jesus Christ. I have heard that tune for something else before, and I want other people that are making bad decisions to know about Jesus.Lauren
‘‘Another Hallelujah ‘by Lincoln Brewster. This impacted me by what went on in these 5 men’s lives. I am happy that we have people like these to tell people about God. It should influence a lot of people including me to tell other people about our Savior. It impressed me by how these men would die for our God. Hunter
I learned from Jim Elliot and his friends that you don’t have to be afraid to die for Jesus or be afraid to preach to others who don’t know you. I think I could represent Christ by telling my friends that don’t know about Christ, by reading the Bible to them, and maybe give them a Bible as a present for a birthday or for Christmas.Kaylin
“Another Hallelujah” influenced me so much to trust in God the rest of my life, to never lose faith, never lose hope in lord my God. I’m feeling so good right now my eyes are more open and my ears too. And my heart is wide open my heart seeks Christ now. I’m a complete new and approved person, I just hope God will live in everyone’s heart and open them to Christianity, you and Jim Elliot was a good man, he laid down his life for God, that’s a good example on trusting in God Elijah
SOme responses from my fifth graders after watching the video:

Hallelujah, Praise God. Let us go in these gentlemens footsteps. To spread the Gospel. Read Psalm 23. "Through the valley of shadow of death, i shall fear no evil, for thou art with me." Amen that is so true.
I feel bad for people who havn't found Christ. They invest in earthly things (money, relationships with opposing genders, idols, ect) and all they get is a tired, helpless view on life... They don't have a solid foundation, and some never find God. Some reach rock bottom, then after years and years of searching may find God. I praise God when they do... Lets not let this happen to our society! Spread the gospel, change lives forever!
@racenuke Amen follower of Jesus Christ! This is what happened to me,The Lord reached down to this hopeless sinner & opened my eyes, & ears to see & hear the truth from Gods words, not mans! I will never ever be the same! Please if you don't know the truth, of our creator Jesus Christ, & his instruction book the Holy Bible, please read & study it, he will reveal him self to you, no matter what you have done, If you mean business with him. I pray all who don't know him, will. (Amazing facts tv
its really gorgeous and its beautiful to see people like them so filled wih God's presence. Many dont understand how honored we are to have Him, its undescribable, unthinkable of how great is our God, an honored we are.. its just beautiful. God bless you all.
Thank, you so much for this. So beautiful, especially when you know the story. Then, the rising of the music when you see the victory that was had at the cost of those lives!!! goosebumps!
This was played at the 2010 Church of God International Youth Conference in Orlando, Florida. I could barely stand up, barely breathe. The power and love in this song came smashing down on me and burst through the pain and sin. Thank you, Lincoln Brewster, and thank you, Jesus!
Oh my goodness! I wanted to cry when I saw and hear it! I love Lincoln Brewster and i am so glad that you made this It was amazing I saw the movie about these amazing men and listening to this makes me want to watch that movie again!!!!
I've never understood missionary work. If you let the people remain in ignorance to christianity, certainly god wouldn't hold them accountable for something they never had a chance of hearing. From a logical standpoint, missionaries do an extrordinary injustice to these people. They had a free ticket to heaven and now they are accountable. Ah, who cares...heaven's not real anyway.
I love You Lord with all my heart You've given me a brand new start And I just want to sing this song to You It goes like this the fourth the fifth The minor fall the major lift My heart and soul are praising Hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah Hallelujan, hallelujah I know that You're the God above You're filling me with grace and love And I just want to say thank You to You You pulled me from the miry clay You've given me a brand new day Now all that I can say is Hallelujah
i was a missionary for many years. elizabeth elliot has always been a hero. jim and the others were and still are a great inspiration to my life. GOD bless those who are persecuted for HIS names sake. truly: hallelujah!!!!!!
Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Ed McCully, Roger Youderian and Pete Fleming were killed on January 8, 1956. They landed their Piper on a sandbar along the Curaray River on January 3, 1956, and set up camp that day. After making friendly overtures, the missionaries were confident they could successfully contact the Huaorani Indians - something no outsiders had ever accomplished. However, a group of Huaorani turned on them killing them with spears and machetes. Five martyrs entered Heaven that day.
That crescendo after the first chorus is UNBELIEVABLE! If I mean to cover this song, I'll certainly will finish it this way... And the beautiful christian "mantra", really soul washing. I wish this goys would drop by argentina sometime, I'll surely go to see them. Congrats for the video, nice photo-montage!
I absolutely love this versio and Jim Elliot. Rest in Peace and praise God for the work you've done that is your legacy!
