I watch this movie repeatedly and until now its my number one favorite movie. very very nice film. I love the twist of the movie and my favorite character is Carrie. I cant believe how understanding she was on his boyfriend and Jonathan. Just to add up every time i watch it, I always cry.

i loved this movie too, but yeah, it was a bit uncleared, the making out, and the ending, so what do you think? I think the makin out, was Shane not wanting to lose Jonathan, and in the ending, carrie kinda smiles after she gets hit, and they talk it out, so from that, i imagine a new relationship began, Shane 's and jonathan's...but what are all of your opinions???

I think either

1. Shane did finally admit his feelings for Jonathan and they became a couple

2. They did not become a couple. And the reason for them making out was sort of what you said, that he wanted to give his BFF want he indeed wanted and did not want to lose him

I love the film and the ambiguity makes it all the more mysterious and beautiful, as if sexuality can be a blurred line...

I pretty much saw some of the movie in google but they didn't have all the videos for it especially the ending. I went to look in other websites to search for the movie but sadly I couldn't find anymore eternal summer videos. Is their by any chance that you can tell what happens in the end? I love everything about it!! The actors, the story, the music.. everything!!..

I also wished it was clear that they ended up together..

No guy would sleep with his b.f. unless they had feelings for him.. And also Shane wasn't an ass to have meaningless sex!! He even got on an accident because of the mess that had happened with him!!..

Plus, in the first scene Shane looks happy..

Anyway, they ended up together and that's it!!

Yeah its quite complicated but if u watch the show, u'll understand.
