Their first album, but one of their best imo, this song is superb, never tire of listening to this, thanks for posting, saw them live in 1983, brilliant.

Great piece of musical history - Whole Oats is such a gentle album with some really sweet songs. I so enjoyed the progression Daryl & John took with their next 2 albums, Abandoned Luncheonette & War Babies. Maybe John & Daryl could cover this song on a future Live from Daryl's House!?

@awizardatruestar It would be nice, but I don't think Daryl can sing that high anymore. It would be like asking a retired Michael Jordan to dunk from top of the key again.

Too bad Oates didn't keep that smooth singing style. Back in the day he sounded as good as Oates, sometimes even better.
He got overshadowed by Hall and it seems he lost his his lead singing chops
He seemed to have vocal problems sometimes, his voice didn't always work well. I know about that, with food allergies and whatnot...

@tanrat7 The picture of the Oats is taken from the album cover to which this song is from..Their first album from 1972, "Whole Oats"
....So the the picture of a Hall wouldn't mean anything.

Heard this on XM about 4 years ago. Was shocked to find out it was Hall & Oates. Great freakin song! Amazing that classic radio never picked up on this.
