this reminds me when i was a teenager. lol. i was dating this girl veronica and she was always talking about this guy travis, travis this travis that, she went to the same middle school with him. we lived in separate towns. she was being very distant. i called and her sister jenny said she was doing her homework, then she called me back and said veronica wants to break up. that was a shitty newyear of 1991. i hate liars, girl suck. hahaha.
This episode totally broke my heart when I first saw it. And what a surprise at the end when he feared Winnie would think he was interested in Madelyn and he's the one who ends up getting dumped. The whole episode was amazing - from the museum announcements over the intercom in the background that mirrored the downfall of their relationship to the buses parting & driving away from each other at the fork in the road on the way home from the school trip. A masterpiece.
@Coleburg That's what love does to you sometimes. Also, think of all of the characters who keep going back to the same person over and over again. Reva & Josh on Guiding Light, Phillip & Beth, and even Victor & Nikki on The Young & The Restless.
@MeredithOD I fully Agree! It was spot on. The first, And ONLY time i ever got dumped (out of nowhere no less) when i was 14, i had that exact reaction. Everything just seemed like a blur.
one of the strongest parts of this show was the MUSIC, and ironically, it's rights to said music that's keeping ABC from releasing this series on DVD. Sucks.
The white 1959 Chevy El Camino (sitting in the driveway of Winnie Cooper's house) and used in the first two episodes of "The Wonder Years" and in the opening credits belonged to my dad..The movie studio paid him money for the use of his truck back in 1988..In the series, the truck belonged to Winnie Cooper's brother, Brian Cooper, who was killed in Vietnam
The Song is called ''God only knows'' by the beach boys.
Thumbs up so everyone can see

I know people may have been angry at Winnie, but Kevin also did a bunch of douche bag moves throughout the 6 seasons. All a part of growing up.

Kevin was such a fool. He could have had a whole line of hotties, but he always wanted only Winnie, who was a total flake.

Kevin's acting is spot on, imagine a child conveying emotions he's never felt so perfectly. Amazes me every time.

@ForeverGimpy Look how many likes you have! It's cause it's completely true. She is so needy and gets so jealous and doesn't appreciate him enough.
