  • They don't really move around alot. lol

  • No, not really but they do move like on a speedway in my video of an other tank (you can find it, if you look at my comment below)

  • Vary groovy, thanks! :D

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!!

    I LOVE archers!

Are they hard to take care of?

    Thanks!

  • Thank you.

Yes they are very cool. Check out my other video called: "Fully grown Archerfish / Schützenfische @ a Zoo Aquarium [1/1]" or /watch?v=OiJsv0IJ8Ms

  • fischi fischi fischi fischi

    fischi fischi

    FRISCHLIE

  • Genau richtig! ;)

  • This is a VEEEEEEERRRRY well built tank however it's microscopic for an archer fish. Archers have big eyes and are fast swimmers. The tank not only looks small to them but it's not enough room for them to swim ferociously. That would probably be why they look so sad :(

But this tank is the nicest I've ever seen w/ both submersed AND emersed plants

  • It's a tank of a aquatic zoo near my hometown. The water capacity of this tank is roughly about: 640 liter (170 us gallon).

Why do you think they look "sad" ? ^^

    Thanks for your comments.

  • WOW!!! It looks like a 30G tank. WTF?! That's 3x the size of my tank?! How come those plants look so small to me?

Archer fish should do a lot of swimming no? I've just got mine for a while and he looks kinda sad too sometimes except when it's feeding time.

But archers generally aren't the type to just be idle for long periods of time.

If you can get another video next time you go by the zoo that would be dope! I really like the set-up I wish you knew how they did that!

  • I took me the half of the day to make a video of each tank in this zoo, and i filmed only the aquatic part of it.

I'm affraid all videos are a bit short, but i promise i'll make more detailed videos next time.

I admit that you are correct: The dimension of those tanks is hard guessable.

  • Ya cuz all I have to go by (as a frame of reference) is your reflection in the tank fo a couple seconds... I mean the fish look small compared to the camera lens. Also the plants look very delicate and so it looks like one of those Nano Cubes or w/e

  • I am standing in front of the tank, with the camera at eye level ( 5.9 feet body height).^^

Anyway! Thanks for the comments, I always appreciate interested feedback.

  • They can grow up to 10" in nature. There's a video here on youtube that shows a full grown one. Although i'd say any fish that's able to reproduce can be considered an adult.

  • I agree to that. These guys are about 7 inch long, i guess.

  • 7 INCHES?!?!?!?! The ones on the right are the biggest ones I see and they look like they're about 3.5" long. Obviously those plants aren't as small as I think they are. What's the dimensions of that glass you're filming through? You need a video that zooms in to the tank from far away gradually to give people a better idea as to what the tank looks like. It looks like the glass ends but the tank continues to the right where those archerfish are. They're not even fully visible from the side

  • The glass is 40 inches wide and 30 inches high (till the waterline). And like you said, i didn't start at the bottom of the tank, and the tank itself is wider than the glass. Maybe the smaller fish are 6 inches long, but not smaller.

  • Schade das sie nicht bei der Jagd sind! Aber so einen Moment abzupassen bräuchte es sehr viel Zeit und Glück!

    Gruß Bidone

  • Und Fütterungszeit =)

    Gruß

    Nils

  • sweet!
