No. What occured is the PLO was launching attacks from southern Lebanon. They and their other Muslim allies had declared jihad against the Christians within Lebanon and also the state of Israel. The Lebanese civil war, sparked by the PLO resulted in the deaths of over 200k Arab cilvilians. Israel invaded Lebanon as a result of these attacks and, as a side note, saved the lives of countless Lebanese Christians living in the south which were being slaughtered by the Muslims.
