@afortyoz2freedom Before Duty Officers existed, there was the Diplomatic Corps. By doing diplomatic missions you would gain diplo exp. I reached the max rank in that long before duty officers were created. That was transferred over to the Duty Officer system. You can still do diplo missions and get diplo exp through missions.
@JacobSheppard At Earth Space Dock, Qo'noS, Starfleet Academy, and Klingon Academy you'll find recruitment missions which let you acquire new Duty Officers. You can also buy them on the exchange. Increase your commendation ranks will award you free Duty Officers.
@TheSTOacademy I'am a lutenet 7 in rank and i have 4 duty Officers. I want 6 one for ea department head. I tried to purchasing 2 with dilithium in earthspeacedock but then i think they went to training i didnt get to creat their appearance as the first 4.
Can i get more duty Officers i have the first ship? Im i ccompletely wrong with the dilithium? help plx :)
@unknowna2 It sounds like you are talking about Bridge Officers not Duty Officers. They are completely different. I suggest looking at my Bridge Officer Guide video.
what I mean is .. when saving the crew from another spaceship and want to repair the core.. is it possible to switch officers so that officer can use the computers to repair the core?
@RoggahQ I think I understand what you are talking. You cannot play as a Bridge Officer to do a mission. If you are a science officer than all you can do is complete the science objectives in missions. If you want to complete all the objectives than you need to play with 2 other people. One should be tactical and the other should be an engineer.
is it possible to switch from your main character that are a science officer to an npc officer that are a tactical officer to do the missions where a tactical officer is needed ... it would be great anyway if it was possible..
@Klif At Earth Space Dock and the Academy (or Qo'noS and the academy depending on the faction you are in) you'll find recruitment assignments. Theses allow you to recruit new duty officers. You can also buy more duty officers on the exchange or from the C-Store.
@Rcee01 Active only means that they give you a bonus, for example a faster cooldown when throwing grenades. You never see duty officers in battle or anywhere else.
How did you manage to get to rank 4 in diplomacy but keep everything else at zero?

I currently have 21 duty officers but I have room for 100. Do you know how to fill all 100 duty officer positions?
