We have an old 1996 GMC Jimmy, and we at least let it sit for 2 weeks, and the thing is completely dead. Every battery we get gets drained. The truck isn't getting driven now because of tranny problems, but I have a feeling it's the alarm. a couple of months after we bought the truck, we went to this after market place to get an unknown type of alarm installed. We had the thing for about 6 years and it was being driven everyday. But now it stopped the horn from working and the wiring is screwed.
hmm l seem to have the same problem when i pulled the fuse for the radio the amperage dropped.
