Because you see if you don’t remember anything, you don’t know you’re there. A person who has total amnesia and lived in a split second only wouldn’t know he was there.

have you ever heard a peace of information that is so profound that it sounds like god talking to you? Like Divine consciousness or another part of me is trying to tell you something vital. To me, 6:27 "To know that you are there you need an echo, ... you need an echo, ....echo...echo..echo." is one of those pieces of info. B/c we hear this phrase echoed we know we are alive. @kwiksteen What a powerful statement! It's a summary of the best schools of eastern philosophy wrapped up in that one poetic sentence by Alan Watts! The ego is just an aspect of the mind. The mind is just an expression of soul consciousness. The soul does not need it, just like we're totally whole without clothes. When the "I am. I exist" awareness switches from ego to soul awareness, enlightenment dawns.
