They don't have any reason to do that now but if you haven't living under a rock you maybe have seen price cuts on 40/80gig on Walmart and Best Buy + in Australia. Dude there's no denying that it's a more advanced piece of tech than the wiimote, but what they did show was somewhat impressive, but they rushed it. Microsoft pretty much forced sony to show off there motion sensing tech even though it was to early into production. those were the same tech demos i saw two months ago.
I think that's just a matter of preference, Sony's conference appealed to a wider range of people than the MS or Ninty conference is all. If you have a Wii and saw the Ninty conference You're probably happy with 2 Marios, Metroid, ect... it just didn't seem like anything to convince someone who didn't have a wii to buy one. Likewise if you have a 360 you got a bunch of shooting games which is generally what 360 owners want but maybe not convincing for others to buy the 360.
The uncharted 2 and god of war 3 footage blew my fucking mind! Just those two games blew microsofts entire lineup away and then they reveal the two new ip's from team ico and rockstar. that just over did it for me! sony ftw!!
