This describes a few former friends that I've gotten rid of. I have one more to get rid of. This video describes her the best. What I have noticed is when I start resenting someone for being negative, I start getting negative, so my own reaction to them is far more dangerous then their negativity. Because I am forced to be around a neighborlike this on a regular basis, it helps to identify he has a problem, and to monitor my own resentment, so I don't make bad situation worse. I have not always been able to maintain perfect poise, but its a work in progress, and I think it helps my neighbor when I can keep a cool head.

What's worse is when people use "care" as an excuse to invalidate you; I think family members do this all the time. I have a friend of 25 years who I recently had to quit being friend with because of the toxicity of our friendship. It basically became a mutual toxicity. He is a button pusher and knew what buttons to push and I having had my buttons pushed would return the favor. It's really a sad situation. I think perhaps I never forgave my friend for the indifference he showed when my parents passed. But then, that is probably classic behavior for a toxic individual. I am not sure. Its a shame though.

The best tip I can give here is to read a great book by Marshall B Rosenberg 'Non Violent Communication'. This book helps you to communicate with others through empathy. It really turned me around. And people? Please do not put your attention into what you do not want; resisting only make it worse! Love is the driving force in the universe :-)
I think you have really great videos. I very rarely leave comments but I think your videos have a lot of meaning and caring to them and I like that. I also see it as a outlet that people can go to who can't afford insurance and can have reliable and trust worthy information. Thanks for doing this for the community and keep up the good work.
As to the corporation thing and modern society's problems, I think it's hard sometimes not to criticize without presenting a good solution because one doesn't really exist. A lot of people, myself included, are used to being able to solve or at least theoretically solve problems, and when something is so intertwined with life that it will only fall by collapsing on itself within decades and cannot be helped its immensely frustrating.
I think "toxic mean people" have a place in our society because if it weren't for them, how would you know when someone was really worth getting to know? And one more thing, if a TMP puts you down, keep in mind it's not about you having a problem, it's about them trying to feel better about their own problems.

I think its important to not judge these people as "bad people" just to understand how they act is bad. Its hard not to place judgment, but circumstance of a childhood really depends on whether or not a person will grow up to be a mean person. If someone lives in a dysfulctional family they will grow up emotionally dysfunctional. They are not bad people for this.
There are two types of shame. The first type is the feeling that what you are doing is bad. The second type is the feeling they you spesifically are bad. To make these people feel the second type of shame only makes them more hostile. This happens because they are destructive people. Destructivness is a way of acting out (or in) stress and anger. Making these people feel that shame is thus adding to their stress. :(

What's worse is when people use "care" as an excuse to invalidate you; I think family members do this all the time. It's not the words, it's the attitude that comes through no matter what-the message: YOU NEED MY HELP & CONTROL. But all they are doing is whitewashing their own insecurities and believing others are as impressed with them as they are! It's useless to show kindness to brick walls.

I have a friend of 25 years who I recently had to quit being friend with because of the toxicity of our friendship. It basically became a mutual toxicity. He is a button pusher and knew what buttons to push and I having had my buttons pushed would return the favor. It's really a sad situation. I think perhaps I never forgave my friend for the indifference he showed when my parents passed. But then, that is probably classic behavior for a toxic individual. I am not sure. Its a shame though.

The best tip I can give here is to read a great book by Marshall B Rosenberg 'Non Violent Communication'. This book helps you to communicate with others through empathy. It really turned me around. And people? Please do not put your attention into what you do not want; resisting only make it worse! Love is the driving force in the universe :-)

I think you have really great videos. I very rarely leave comments but I think your videos have a lot of meaning and caring to them and I like that. As to the corporation thing and modern society's problems, I think it's hard sometimes not to criticize without presenting a good solution because one doesn't really exist. A lot of people, myself included, are used to being able to solve or at least theoretically solve problems, and when something is so intertwined with life that it will only fall by collapsing on itself within decades and cannot be helped its immensely frustrating.

I think "toxic mean people" have a place in our society because if it weren't for them, how would you know when someone was really worth getting to know? I think its important to not judge these people as "bad people" just to understand how they act is bad. Its hard not to place judgment, but circumstance of a childhood really depends on whether or not a person will grow up to be a mean person. If someone lives in a dysfulctional family they will grow up emotionally dysfunctional. They are not bad people for this.

There are two types of shame. The first type is the feeling that what you are doing is bad. The second type is the feeling they you spesifically are bad. To make these people feel the second type of shame only makes them more hostile. This happens because they are destructive people. Destructivness is a way of acting out (or in) stress and anger. Making these people feel that shame is thus adding to their stress. :(

Have you thought about all the low income families that save a lot of needed money by shopping a Walmart. They do save thousands of families much needed money, If they raised wages they would have to lay some people off to compensate, and raise there prices which would hurt the shoppers. Now does that sound like a plus to you?

Good video, all in all, but I don't like how you mix some statements in there that hint at anger (e.g. at Walmart) and equate that with being toxic. Being angry is part of the human nature, being angry at injustices hints at a healthy person, not a toxic one.

LOL, awesome, I'm a toxic person. Me and every other person on this whole planet. People are judgmental and conceited at times, its human nature. If you look up the definition of toxicity you will realise: Toxicity is the ability of a substance(or in your case person) to cause a harmful effect. Toxic people may still be toxic in their nature but not HARMFUL to you at all.

why don't you just tell them that they are being "toxic?" kill joy, pain. unpleasant person today are we, or! you don't need this shit now. there's a lot of ways to do it. But at least they will know you wont take it.
The idea is to let them know your on to them, Keep them in check every now and then,
ask them if there kickers in a twist today or your in a better mood to day etc.

I was really surprised at this video, given the other material you present. "Toxic" people are just suffering. They'd be better if they could be. They aren't intrinsically "toxic", something was done to them when they were little that created the defense mechanism of their "toxic" personality. They need compassion and love. If I let a "toxic" person bother me, it just means that they are finding the "toxicity" that still exists in me. I am usually not as different from them as I think I am

I agree that toxic people suffer however, I do not accept that as an excuse for the destruction they do to other beings.
An axe murder or rapist might have had a very tramatic childhood, but it doesn't means it's ok they chop up people and rape women.
Destructive people should be segregated away from society to prevent them from hurting others; this is why we have prisons.
