@PvtFluffybottoms I'm really sorry but this instrucitional it's just in Italian. I've finished few day ago book & DVD for my new instructionals and they'll be also in engish. @bonzzo15 You are right man. I'm finishing my news instructional right now and it wil be also in English... book+DVD. I think it' will be release in the middle of 2012, but it's too early to know the day. For sure I'll post some DVD trailer as soon as it'll be ready
@SirRoddis1995 I know, I know... so many people ask it to me.. and I'm really produ of it.
Be sure next instructionale will be in English too I swear. I'm wirting it right now so keep on my website (new version is on the road) and on my facebook page!
@giorgioterenziani How long have you been playing bass? And how do you like your Status bass? It sounds AWESOME? (how did you get it/what colour is it? Like what's it called :) )
Too bad this DVD isnt in English or atleast subtitled. I would buy it just to watch the whole 230 BPM shit in full.....That was pretty damn impressive!
@GaryNull Hey, Billy Sheehan & his band Mr. Big sold out the entire Budakon arena in Tokyo, & Billy taps all the time, tapping is a skill & it takes just as much talent as anything else, & so what if somebody plays bass like a guitar, Cliff Burton did that all the time, & just because he played differently than anybody else doesnt mean he's any less of a bass player, that being said however, tapping is a skill for solos, and if youre not big on bass solos, then I can see why you would say that.
@alexlocurto Bass players who tap and make a living are VERY FEW.
Don't know what planet you live on, but if you want work, you play bass and don't tap. I love bass soloing if it is good, most bass solos suck, . . especially the 6 string ones. Jeff Berlin is the best at it and my favorite player. He doesn't tap and plays a 4 string bass too.
Pretty cool stuff. One thing I noticed though is that when he switches from 190 bpm to 230 bpm the picking speed didn't seem to increase, he just went from playing 16th notes to triplet 8ths. Still impressive though.
@ichaichaparadice I just mean he's playing the bass like a guitar. Just because the two instruments look similar and have the same concept doesn't mean they are the same. There's a big difference between playing a bass and being a bass player, if you get me.
Play an instrument however the fuck you want. If you want to make a complete ass of yourself playing it the way you want, go ahead! That's the glory of it all! That's what's neat about bass, you can get a ton of sounds from it.
and btw, I'm a bass player myself, so don't call me a bass-hater by being partly negative to this, please!! I'm not out to get an internet-fight, I just left a honest comment! =)
I kinda agree.. I mean, playing solos like that is awesome, but the problem with several bass players being awesome at playing solos is that they forget the most important and main role of a bass player: being a solid rhythm instrument along in between the drums and the guitars! But still, I enjoy solos like that every now and then, but they must not forget: the bass is mainly a RHYTHM instrument, not a SOLO instrument! it's the glue that holds it all together!
well said (as a fellow bassist) but soloing once in a while is good, i thiink cliff burton did a perfect bass player job, held it togeather and made his move at the right time
I have to disagree with you man. A ton of bass players suck ass, can't solo for shit, and all they do is make the foundation of the band. Soloing is good because it expands your mind, making you a better writer, and it gives you more confidence as a musician. It's good to know how to do both. By the way, I know you been watching David Ellefson because he says that exact same thing :D
well, yeah, David's been one of my biggest idols for a long long time so I've kinda learned a lot of him :P but I think he has a really good philosophy! But like I said, I like a nice combination: good soloing and good rhythm, but not one of them dominating over the other!
nice to know there's a video to teach how to only play technically. good thing they're not teaching anything like soul, or, you know, stuff that might be important .
Please tell me I can get this book in english now :x

Bass tapping is kinda useless . . .
Show up "tapping" for an audience and they'll say "Get the fuck out!".
I have to thank all you tappers for giving me the extra work.
I "play bass", . . not "guitar bass" or "piano bass', . . hahaha.

@alexlocurto whats wrong with 6 strings?
1. The "bass players" playing them really just want to be guitar players.
2. They sound like shit.
If you can't do amazing things on a 4 string bass, play guitar or piano instead.
