  • Parks Saber and Ultra Saber are better than MR's, but MR is the only one to have a progressive DEL blade, that is VERY important for me. Parks don't have sound ?

  • You can get them converted by ldm to have sound

  • parks sabers dosent have sound i am not going to get one now.

  • Great info, thanks.

  • Very informative sir lol

  • are park sabers stunt sabers like ultrasabers?

  • Wait what should i get an ultrasabers or park sabers?

  • The new Park Sabers Hyperbright or whatever apparently have a "Phase Mode" so you can make the saber strobe? I really have no idea what that's about. I might get it and not use it, but it makes me feel like I'm paying for a feature I really don't want.

  • I just got my Parks Arc-wave for x-mas green blade but I did ask for the older appearance hilt when it didn't have the bronze it was just black. That didn't happen but I love it so much I don't want to send it back out and wait. its extremely bright I have had a FX Anakin saber for about 2 years, I compare the two and Parks wins minus sounds.

  • The Apprentice blade is only about 25 inches long, and the masters is about 35 inches long. i went an apprentice, its alot easier to fight with.

  • Hey, Thanks a lot for this. I wanted to see someone's opinion on it before I made my mind about buying a light saber. I just had a question, on the site they have two series of color types. The "Master" and the "Apprentice", what is the difference?

    Thanks :D

  • Park's also have new blades, called "Phase" blades. Instead of lighting up all at once, the light scrolls up on ignition, and down when you deactivate it. Much more like the action of a lightsaber. The Phased are brighter than the old EL blades. They have gotten even better. The quality also out classes the Master Replicas. I'm waiting for a Mace Windu type hilt from Park's. That will be sweet.

  • Park's Sabers have lightsabers that look like Luke's ROTJ hilt, Anakin's ROTS hitls, Vader's various hilts, Obiwan's ROTS hilt, and now Obiwan's TMP, and AOTC, hilts. The detail on Park's are much closer to the movies, especially Luke's, and Obiwan's hilts. That's why I like Park's better than Master Replicas.

  • What's the place you mentioned after RandomSabers? I couldn't hear you very well.

  • 2 questions

    1. so the color is in the blade not in the hilt?

    2. if im going to get a double blade can i have like one blade blue and one blade green?

  • 1 - yes

    2 - yes

  • I don't think Parks does EL anymore. In fact, from what I've heard, nobody does EL anymore really. Not sure what's so bad about a wire as the source of light, but it appears LEDs are where it's at, especially when in the hilt.

  • the new "phase" models have the power up and down effect

  • yeah i havent seen them yet up close, arent they like the force fx though where they have leds within the blade/ if so thats bad..

  • Ya. Unless you want a custom machined hilt, there is no reason to get a park saber IMO. Why? Because for the same price or less, you can get a converted one from Ultra-Sabers that has sound, a detachable blade, and the light source is in the hilt. Oh, and when it comes to dueling, you cannot beat Ultra-Sabers: $25 for a new blade.

  • @cafeledavid the LEDs are in-blade, but the blade is reinforced, so moderate duels don't kill 'em

  • @cafeledavid the newest phase blades use brighter LEDs and have reinforced poly, so dueling doesn't ruin the blade. Also, the phase blade doesn't have that pesky warning label

  • whats brighter, parks saber or an ultra saber? which battery life lasts longer?

  • ultra saber is brighter, and i believe park sabers last longer because it doesnt use any voltage for sound but i could be wrong

  • Thought I'd throw my two cents in here. This video was probably made a while ago, but the parksabers now have the "Phase Sabers" and according to the FAQ on the site, there is no warning label on the phase sabers. Unfortunately they don't offer the same models.

  • yes it says oct 2007

  • listen man we dont really care wot u think about it, it's only wot we think

  • force FX are good for dueling cause there like what 50$? so i buy those. park sabers are for like display

  • actually, the forcefx are for display, while the parksabers(named after ray park, the person who played darth maul) are for dueling, although the company discourages it because it is very dangerous. the graflex is in fact, the lightsaber from ESB and it does not mean that it is brighter, but the graflex is the name of the company who made the cameras which had the flash attachments that George Lucas used to make the original lightsaber.

  • actually parks sabers are named after the owner and maker

jeff parks and he puts on a disclaimer because of legal reasons

  • is it me? or does the graflex look like force fx luke from ESB?

  • 0:48 yes there is if you read the books its darth zannahs

  • did you get the el sabers or phase sabers?

  • Thank you for the info. I have most of the MR FX sabers and I'm considering the M2. You provided a good review.

  • The Park Phase series do not come with the disclaimer on the blade. Expensive but you get what you pay for, right

  • you bought one? which one if you did, i hear they arent as bright as ultra sabers still but i have no idea since it seems no one has one yet..

  • which would you get? i want to kinda duel. can you message me on my page ill subscribe

  • hey dude i like the park sabers but i dont really want to pay $200-$300 dollars for one but i am getting a force fx darth vader saber for christmas its like 89 bucks very cheap and dude if u have the darth vader force fx saber plzz do a review on it thanks man

  • i understand about the price but the reason they are more is because you can take the blades off and not worry about breaking the blade if it does break, since there are no leds within the blade

you should check out my ultra sabers review, they are force fx sabers but you can take the blades off too and not worry about breaking them just like parks

  • Not to be nerdy...but there are four lightsabers like that in the SW Universe. Jedi Master Arca Jeth wielded a single blade with resemblance to the M2, As did Exar Kun, who had a single blade and later a double blade of similar desighn, and finally Ulic Qeldroma.

  • PARKS SABERS UPDATE - they now finally sell LED sabers, jeff still makes EL though

  • yeah i got the e-mail to your talking about there new phase sabers right i think it's pretty cool...

  • Awesome review man! That warning within the blade with Park Sabers is so retarded...I actually decided NOT to buy one because it looks so dumb. As you said the user is the person who matters and seeing that warning all the time pisses me off to no end...

  • thanks for the review but i have one question how come the graflex you have there is diffrent than the one they sell on the site now it doesn't have the black on the bottom it's just all silver.

  • because he got in legal trouble with lucas films for being an exact replica to lukes saber in new hope

  • ok thanks for clearing that out and sorry for the inconvince

  • Have you tried one TCSS EL blade without the warning label?

I think they can fit parks hilts.

  • nope but yeah i heard that too though it kinda sucks you gotta shell out more um credits ;D

    for a new blade...

  • you said that m2 park saber was blue right ..plzz tell em that its a darker blue than that

  • sorry EL is pretty dim.. thats why most people prefer luxeon (led) but people still buy from parks because hes makes excellent quality saber hilts by hand. he can do customs as well for a price but has to be within his skill set

im friends with someone who has a very nice double darth maul, only one of its kind i believe

  • can you convert that saber to a luxeon preferably with a CF board in?

  • I have a Parks saber much like the Anakin/Luke original you had there, but yours is more exact. I got it was when Parks sabers was just starting out. I remember I got a T-shirt too when I bought the saber. I'm actually looking to sell it (the saber) and after going to their site again, it was nice to see they are pricIER than they were 7 years sgo. I figured with Forece FX and others coming out I figured Parks would go down. Not the case. Yay for me as I try to sell it. lol Nice vids btw.

  • but I DO NOT recommened park sabers WAY OVER PRICED

  • what does the hilt feel like is it metal or a cheap plastic feel?

  • thanks, helpful vid. where can u buy those fixed stunt sabers fo dueling?

  • sorry mate.

xar khun the sith lord used the exact same lightsaber 100000 years before the star wars movies.

  • ok that doesnt make any sense since lightsabers came from star wars the movies....

  • i think what hes saying is, xar khun used that lightsaber 100000 years before the star wars movie storylines came out, so he was using it before obi-wan and qui-gon

  • actually he makes perfect sense because there's of a thing called "expanded universe". Expanded universe includes all of the comics, books, video games. EU as it is referred to, fills in the blanks before, between, and after the movies. In "the new essential chronology", the lightsaber is sighted as being invented in 15,000 bby. so in conclusion, mohanicus needs to go less crazy on the 0's and cafeledavid really needs to shut the hell up because he is a poseur who knows nothing about Star Wars

  • part the expanded universe bro

  • No, actually mohanicus is right. The movies aren't the ONLY star wars realted things with lightsabers in them. They were invented WAYYYYYYY before the time of the movies.

  • exar kun had a double bladed saber so sorry mate

  • Have you seen any Parks Sabers Inertia Reviews? IS the Green El brighter than the Blue El? Or is there any difference at all? Beccause i was thinking of getting that saber and new blades fron The Custom Saber Shop. Thanks

  • i believe park sabers has a listing of whats the brightest blade in order, i do recall green is the brightest of them all then blue though el is not bright compared to led/luxeon

  • can the parks be fitted with an ultra saber sound board?

  • Some people say that master replica lost their license so they do not sell force fx lightsabers. Do you know if they're true. Oh and thanks for the reviews.

  • yes it is true as of dec 31st 2007

though you can still find sellers via ebay, sharper image, just google you should find some, good luck and thanks for watching

  • xbox 360 is definately a good investment ;)

    and no prob

  • i prefer luxeon, luxeon is brighter and cheaper than el technology and cheaper to fix, but i like park sabers hilts better because he makes better quality than master replica force fx, ultra sabers converts those, then again master replica's isnt making anymore due to losing their license with lucas film

  • Which brand is brightest?

  • luxeon is brighter than el

  • this one looks like an m2

  • I'm lucky enough to own one of his Obi-Wan TPMs and damn, it is nice. I'm going to buy a Double Helix this summer.

  • Who can mod Parks sabers to have sound?

  • you can ask tim from the custom saber shop, but he might need to see your saber before he can attempt it since he cant convert all of them i think, also theres a member on youtube named xwingband who can but i dont know if he converts for anyone but himself

also bob from advanced light weaponry can but he is VERY busy because he is the sponsor for ny and nj jedi and we have a big convention coming up in april so he has lots of orders

but no harm in asking, good luck

  • I've got two Parks Sabers myself. The EL Graflex that this guy shows and the Arc Wave (Luke's from ep 6). I can do without the sounds, but what I like about Parks is the quality of authenticity. They feel solid and look very true to the actual props. The force FX hilts are a little fat probably to account for the sound box inside.

  • you are correct! the hilts are better because the cost more to produce and arent as rushed as the master replicas (they lost their license so they wont be making anymore) and yes they are bigger because of the soundboard but i know some people who can mod the parks and add soundboards and convert to luxeon from EL but the cost isnt worth it to me

  • Are there websites out there that you can point me to for people who mod parks sabers? I don't know if I'd put money into that but I'd like to see what people have done. I'm looking to get another Parks soon. The EL MPP (Vader). I want to finish off the "Skywalker" collection.

Parks has a new design. The Jaded Deuce. Looks a little plain though.

  • man they look really nice... i've been thinking about ordering one from parks for quite some time. there is one thing i've been wondering about though, and since i see you have your own sabers from parks, i thought i could ask you: is the EL really true 360 degrees? cuz i've read about people who say the blades of their park sabers have a "line" that goes through the entire blade.. can you see any line like that on your blade?

  • hey yeah park sabers makes really nice sturdy hilts

the el blades do have a line showing but that is caused from the el itself where it meets in a circle within the blade, you can see it when its turned on along with their warning label

quite annoying, you can also buy brighter el blades from thecustomsabershop dot com without a warning label, i might add, hope you enjoyed the video review

  • okay, that's too bad..

i really appreciate your answers! Thanks man.

    p.s. great review!

  • hey david parksabers made a new lightsaber, its called the jaded deuce!! and they have a purple blade now, i dont know if you sa this already???

  • yeah i saw it thanks, i also see they got orange blades now

  • hi thanks, um well master replica force fx lost their license with lucas film as of 1/1/08 so once theyre all gone such as parts to fix them then its over, their hilts arent strong at all, conversioning companies such as ultra sabers can make them duel worthy

  • park sabers hilts are very sturdy but its because jeff parks makes them himself, and uses stronger more expensive chrome, but alas no sound, though some companies can convert el to led/lux, el is basically a dead technology, its not as bright and more expensive to repair

so you gotta look at the pros and cons and decide, i prefer led/luxeon, good luck

  • Great review! I'm thinking about ordering up a Parks Arc Wave -- the craftsmanship looks top notch. Too bad there's no sound though -- any way to mod that? With sound they'd be truly perfect.

  • go to fx-sabers dot com and ask them, i hear they do conversions on el lightsabers but not 100% sure, but if you want sound you might want to go with ultra sabers their hilts arent as strong as parks though since they use factory master force fx but they got sound and you can take off the blade

  • I was thinking about getting a parks saber. I'm not planning to duel too hard with it, but I was wondering if dead spots in the blade appear often.

  • dead spots only appear in the normal master replica forcefx because of the leds in the blade, from being hit too hard from dueling, itll break them, so if youre not going to duel, you might be better off with a force fx, or ultra saber so that way you can remove the blade too

  • At 6:51 you said that (to paraphrase) a negative aspect of Ultra Sabers is that they can break easily; did you mean to refer to the Force FX sabers?

  • yeah meant to say forcefx but ultra sabers are also not as strong as el park sabers after some testing on the hilts and blades

i also say lel in the beginning instead of el, but i correct myself later

  • those things are aswome but im 11 and my mom wont let me get one hehe but yea 5/5 vid

  • You didnt mention the custom saber shop!! hehe, parks are pretty awsome sabers ill pick one up once ive made my first MHS saber 5/5!!

  • yeah but thats if you wanna build your own :P

  • I have a park saber and they are good blades. I also to own the El Graflex, tend to fight pretty hard and the inner elecronics can't take the pounding. My brother has a custom double helix and we fight pretty hardcore. I know his complaint is that the end of the hilt on the double helix has snapped twice and we had to send it back. I just sent my MR Anakin to ultrasabers for a conversion, I'll let you know how it goes, good video!!

  • thanks and yeah ive used the forcefx anakin, i dont like it because it is smaller and you cant hold it with two adult hands

anyways park sabers are made for light/moderate dueling not heavy since they are 3/4 inch, i know ultrasabers are made for moderate/medium dueling i have broken a couple blades from dueling a little too hard however
