  • Die ass

  • Fish will get fat and turn into a pigfish. Pigfish, oh pigfish. It does everythin a pigfish can.

  • but they will die cus no oxygen is getting in to the water...

  • And waht happens when these fish shit? Like, does that go to your food? Yuck.

  • @cuentanumero11

bacteria couldn't survive at that temperature

  • Ohhhhh I get it there demonstrating it's safety not frying them lol

  • the goldfish aren't getting oxygen

  • @themattcam777 If they weren't getting oxygen they'd be dead...

  • PETA will have a coronary once they find out goldfish cholesterol levels are impacted by this cool habitat.

  • So the gold fish are eating meat fat and oil?? YUCK! but it saves money on gold fish flakes. :)

  • That is some epic technology there. It's very effective and allows a restaurant to get more fry sessions out of one change of oil than in a traditional deep fat fryer. Thus reducing operating costs from purchasing more oil and the time it takes to dispose of the used up oil due to a need for less frequent oil changes.

  • this whole thing is a great idea, the oil never gets dirty, all the crap just falls into the water. and normally when you put water in a hot deep fryer it explodes, but not in this one because the water just falls into the water beneath.. I need one of these mang

  • OMG!! Poor fishes. They haven't oxygen in there!! If they are too long under that oil, they will die, and then ..... fishstickssssssss

  • @piarnoable What the fuck do you think water is mostly composed of?

    H20

    Dipshit!

  • @GnLReviews water IS h20, or 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen, who says its mostly? that makes no sense. it is EXACTLY that, what do you think the rest is, goldfish bits?

  • oh... i thought they were going to fry the goldfish...

  • I'm scared for those goldfish. o_o poor guys. From my experience I think there would be some negative effects like nutrient overload or lack of gas exchange. Hope they weren't in there too long.

  • Man who gives a shit, they are fucking gold fish. Stupid little spoiled kids are participating in their genocide every fucking second.

  • @takadi and stupid nazis participated in genocide, where does your argument even partly make sense.. you don't care about gold fish because.... spoiled kids kill them.. hmm. i see where you set your bar for standard of living

  • @bxkid69

HAHAHA . You compare this to the fucking holocaust yet you also ask me where my argument makes sense. Stop projecting you tree hugging faggot

  • @takadi its called an analogy, you obviously are too stupid to know what that is, maybe you should take some logic or even LSAT courses to comprehend basic competent logic. so im anti-holocaust therefore i am a tree hugging *****. hm thats funny you make even more sense, but everyone to you is either gay or stupid, you must have no friends so rather than arguing with you, i will just pity you.

  • them fish will be chocking to f on lots of nirate or jap bull shit

  • huh? xP

  • wow. amazing. i want one for my kitchen. without the goldfish tho.

  • how does this work?, how can he just put ice in hot oil and not explode? the Japs need to stop being so cool they're making america look dumb......er

  • @dyingangelo japs are the reason you own most of the shit in your home

  • @gtg4651 i know. they invent stupid things and fill our houses with plastics

  • @jewishzombie I was asking my self the same question ... not just the ice the the bottom is filled with water ... what the hell ???

  • I am sad fish no fry. Yum yum!

No but seriously, not nearly as hilarious as i thought it would be.

  • oh my god! so amazing,,,a shallow deep fryer u can put a fishtank underneath!! i could do this at my house with a roasting pot and a wooden shelf.

  • I thought the water was going to instantly flash fry the goldfish or something when I read the video title.

  • not very cool.

  • ppls is dumb. lolz@all

  • @owenman20 Except JeepRuby101.........genius

  • @owenman20 Except JeepRuby101.........genius

  • This is nothing, people. It's from Japan. These are the people that fucking whale like none other. So, a little goldfish in the bigger spectrum...isn't so bad.

  • so funny that peta fuckers are getting their shit pushed in about some 10 cent goldfish. OHHH SO CRUELLLLL SAVE DA GOLDFISHEZZZZ PLZZZZZ

  • What the hell? What is going on? How are they frying food if the oil doesn't get hot?!

  • Even if the fish were killed by boiling oil who cares?

They're fucking goldfish and cost 30 cents.

  • ONE WOULD ARGUE! That you can't put a price on a life.

    Not me, but you know...some...

  • the fish live in the water tht sits below the oil because water is heaver

  • Woah, fish can live in oil?! I'm going to put my fish in my computer, cooled with mineral oil :B

  • I thought they were going to deep fry the live goldfish. That would have been funny and not uncharacteristic for Japanese. This movie let me down.

  • How is this possible? This is absolutely amazing!

  • LOL

  • While I'm not sure it's a good idea to use them like that to prove the tech works, they obviously are doing just fine when we see them and were certainly removed afterward. I'd be outraged if they were killed or in obvious distress but they weren't. They probably got added back to a pond somewhere after it was all done, so no harm no foul. The worse that might have happened was they ate some fried food that fell into the water. The tech is cool though and safe.

  • @antiposers

    Firstly, who cares.

2nd, go eat your grass hippie.

  • @antiposers

    Firstly, who cares.

2nd, go eat your grass hippie.

  • This is awesome. can i get one of these for my house or are they only available for restaurants? i always thought thet would be cool to have a fish tank in my stove or deep frier. you wouldn't have to feed them and they could just eat the food from the frier. and when you want to change th water you just pour a cup of water in the oil then go back to frying your stuff!:++:

  • You realize that the goldfish were to prove that the fryer doesn't get hot under neath, right? Epic fail, guys.

  • seriously. Shut up. No one cares. These fish are fine they're in normal temperature water and fine....

  • maybe you have a fish brain, but the rest of us will be over here thinking abstractly with our evolved primate brains if you don't mind

  • They're just fish... you people have lost your minds. And in regards to the comment stating it would be "hilarious" to watch me (or anyone for that matter) burn in the oil because of my lack of sympathy for the fish... hypocritical much ? I do not promote suffering or torture, you on the other hand are a very sick individual.

  • dude fish have a 15 second memorey they don't no whats going on so they dont care

  • go back to school and learn to spell, then you can trash people on you tube. dude

  • Comment removed

  • well that is just a myth, but still...

I don't think the goldfish care if they live in a fish tank in your liveing room or a fish tank under a fryer.

  • as if goldfish arent treated bad enough.

It is Illegal to eat goldfish, keeping them in a bowl, or to flush them down the toilet in Italy. we need those laws here in North America.seeing this bullshit happening to goldfish sickens me. I hate that guy.

how would people like to be given away at fairs as prizes, then living for 2 weeks and being flushed down the toilet. I have had my goldfish for 2 years, it's not hard to take care of them.

  • i agree it is cruel and for people to do that should be ashamed of themselves :( disgusts me that people kill for fun and pleasure sickos

  • Cruel??? How can you be cruel to a goldfish? It's not a sentient being, and doesn't feel pain. Besides, it would be quite humorous to watch one of them accidently swim into the oil. I wonder if it would completely burn before it floated to the top ?

  • Like hell they can't feel pain.

How about you swim into oil and we watch you burn? I think that would be hilarious.

  • that would be awesome =)

  • if they were in pain they'd be thrashing around the water is still cool enough for them to survive

  • RSPCA should extend their influence to Japan. The people there enjoy making videos of animal cruelty...

  • What if you want fried goldfish? lol

  • Poor fish...

  • Feeling sorry for the goldfish.

  • holy moly.....

  • hehe i accidently did the cold water in hot oil trick to it was almost fatal

  • i think japenese people hate goldfish and all types of other fish =(

    fish are awesome!

  • they are saying that the goldfish eats the left over bread crumbs, therefore, the oil stays clean for longer. but then again, I think its cruwel for the fish

  • well...i tried feeding a goldfish bread crumbs since i won 2 of them at a carnival. They died 3 days later :| and. Can fish live with oil? doesnt oil provide stress?

  • Well, several things went wrong. Firstly, bread crumbs are not good fish food, maybe as a little snack, but longterm, no way. Second, most carnival goldies are diseased. Third, if you had them in a bowl, they suffocated, a goldfish needs 30 gallons, and fourth, if you didn't put the tank through th nitrogen cycle, then the ammonia will kill them as well.

  • Actually, goldfish need space at this ratio: 1 square foot of surface area to 1 inch of goldfish. The depth only needs to be deep enough for them to be comfortable, but I suppose that they were not really thinking about that when they did this. I won't get depressed, however, because after all, it is a goldfish. I can go get a replacement to offset the loss for 15 cents.

  • goldfish crap can float to the surface and then you have fried goldfish shit in your fat

  • But... why?

  • but why??

  • snack that smiles back! goldfish®

  • I hope somebody translates what those guys are saying. I'm curious as to what the technology is really all about.

  • Japanese Technology!

  • Oh you of lower brain! And you goldfish in Fryer?? Not for so and only for $10?!! lol. Is for five step back. Think about it!!

  • ???!

  • It would be so cruel and ironic if they used it to deep fry fish-fingers.

  • Oh yes?! And then for? Goldfish? Deep fat fryer is but and useful! Cruel.

  • please dont let these guys loose in a nuclear power plant

  • it just showed how they get fed, they get fed by the bits of food falling down through the oil, but all there poo will be in the oil that is cooking the food :O

  • THATS CRAZY XD lmao but I wonder how they eat or get fead...

  • Every foreigner has a simple brain!

This is performance to show the new Japanese high technology.

That goldfish never die! You can understand scinece and biology.

  • so, the goldfish live in the water that has the deep fryer oil on top....so if the fish die, they float to the top and get fried by the oil..that is sick.

  • we flush them down the toilet...

  • That's so strange

  • Goldfish are omnivores. They eat plants and meat. Deepfried breading also counts. Also goldfish do need oxygen and I'm sure these people who created this contraption thought about that. Perhaps the people in this show are telling us how the water is oxygenated, most of us just don't understand it. My advice is to get a translator before you make assumptions. "Assume" makes an ASS out of U and ME.

  • And the fact that goldfish are not carnivorous, and need to have the water aerated didn't occur to these people????

Goldfish don't feast on deep-fried bread.

  • Nah, goldfish get a reprieve.

  • Thats mean

  • what does the water and ice have to do with anything?

  • They are displaying one of the safety features of the fryer. Usually if ice or water is put into a fryer it will explode as in the demonstration with the frying pan but because the water or ice can fall to the water below it doesn't explode.

  • What if the goldfish take a gulp of the oil, wouldn't it die? I believe that is the natural behavior of goldfish.

  • Disgusting and inhumane. The creator needs to be locked up.

  • how the fuck will the fish get oxygen that they need, these fish prop are dead within 24hrs and new ones are used!!! discraceful! bastards!

  • Yup, fish sure need AIR (?) to get their hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen; not from WATER.

  • y dont the japs just give us the antidote for cancer allready.

  • anyone can give translation? Thanks

  • oo their teaching us oil lies on top of water and canot mix so the water is clean the fish don't die

  • goldfish just for the tv-show, to explain the water is cool.

  • so, i understand the purpose of having the water...but why the goldfish?

  • This is gross...so...first off, how the hell do the fish get new oxygen if there's a six inch layer of oil preventing regular water-to-air oxygenation? AND, fish poop DOES float...so...any food cooked in the oil for people would have traces of fried fish poop....yum.

  • if you watches the video you would notice the man pouring new water into the tank wich flows through the oil.

  • Things float because they are of a lower density than a liquid. It is possible that the fish poop can float on water, but is too dense to float on oil.

  • :/ That's true. I still find this kinda freaky! Hehe! Those fish must be pretty fat and happy by now.

  • Fish poop doesn't float unless there's air in it. The "food" sinks, meaning there is no air, thus, the poop sinks. It's a montage anyway so don't ponder too much, the fish are just there temporarily.

  • weird...how can water stay cool with burning oil? If they pooped wouldnt it float up and get deep fryed?

  • Heat travels upwards.

  • How do the fish not get burned by hot oil?

  • Ah....the eternal question.

  • Unfortunately they don't really explain well enough to understand well. But there is a cooling system between the water and the oil. It took them ten years to develop it. So the bits of tempura batter fall down and stick together, which keeps the oil clean (the bits don't float around and burn). Also, if you throw frozen pieces of food into a fryer, usually the oil will react violently, but now the waters sinks and cools instead of becoming vapor.

  • Hey Max. I bought your kanji flashcards when I first came to Japan! They're awesome. Thanks for the interpretation. This is pretty much what I got from it as well, though I'd assumed (falsely) that the fish were there to eat the food too. Either way, I had no idea so many people would find this amazing when I posted it.

  • okay - the fact that it's a fryer that doesn't go nuts when water or ICE are introduced into it is already amazing to me; the fish thing is more of an added "neat" thing

  • I thought the fish were cool at first too, but since I thought about it more I'll agree with you. "Sugei!!"

  • Where do the goldfish poop?

  • I still wouldn't want to eat anything fried in it

  • cool, if you want some fried goldfish, just pull em' up hrough the oil, can't get any fresher than that!

  • everyone seems pretty clueless so let me try and explain a bit.. Water and oil doesn't mix, so there is no heat from convection, only conduction, which is very slow compared to convection. Also, the bottom layer of the oil is cool compared to the top. Oxygen comes from a bubbler, and the fish eat the scraps of solids that fall through the oil to the bottom.

  • Normally I would say a bubbler would bring water up into the hot oil and it would flash into steam, causing oil to spill everywhere. I don't understand how he is adding water and ice to the oil.

  • for an example of how slow conduction is, immerse your hand in hot oil.

  • for an example of how fast convection is, stand in the stream of a solar storm ejection, or better yet, for radiation, wait for the gamma ray blast coming the end of the currect baktun calendar cycle.

  • at the end of the current cycle, there are actually a few significant events that are practically scheduled.

  • we definitely need a translator.

  • Goldfish poop doesn't float :P

  • What happens to the goldfish poop? There certainly isn't a filter in that thing!

  • How do they bring the oxygen for the goldies into the water?

  • So, can someone who knows the language explain this a little bit. Being a fan of goldies it worries me to see this.

  • How does the water not get hot?

  • Good question. I'm more concerned about what happens when one of them dies naturally and floats to the top!

  • You get fried goldfish, of course!

  • goldfish are actually edible, you know.

  • according to the guy at the end he worked on it for 10 years...

  • Jeez. So what happened to all the goldfish in the experiments that failed?

  • Oh...you know what happened.

  • Heat rises. The bottom oil will actually be cooled by the water from the tank, bringing them closer to thermal equilibrium. A tank cooler can keep the fish cool and a run-of-the-mill oil coil heater can boil the oil at the same time. It's genius.
