Jazakalah khair for your efforts. I wish to point out that the word 'wasat' does not mean moderate, extreme or middle. This means the just/best or the most honoured. The Prophet(saw) said 'the wasat means the Adl (just). You will be summoned to testify that Nuh has conveyed (his message) and I will attest to your testimony'. This is a description of this ummah over the other people. Refer to tafseer ibn kathir, vol. 1

The ayah in Surah Baqarah وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا "Thus, We have made you (Muslims) a moderate Nation." وسط means, in the middle, not this extreme , and at the same time, not to that extreme. But right in the middle; perfect and moderate and balanced.
* This beautiful Ayah is verse # 143 in Surah Baqarah, which consists of a total of 286 verses!!!
