  • the skyhalk motors are the best mine was not even running right and i was doing 30mph up a little hill

  • my engine kit would gulp that for dinner

  • @rrjhs199516 well said my friend

  • BUYER BEWARE!!!! i purchased this a few months back and got it running pretty easily, it worked nicely for a short while but recently has been starting to act up. The muffler weld broke during normal riding. I was taking it into town today and didnt make it even a mile before i looked down and the motor mounts had stripped out of their sockets and the entire engine was wobbling back and forth. I would highly advise against anyone purchasing this kit.

  • how did you get the friggen speedometer to work??? i bought 2 one wireless and 1 wired and both of them just show random numbers when i turn the engine on. but work fine without the engine.

  • @porkypinekiwi you need either a ferrite filter to clamp on the spark wire, or pick up some 'resistance' type spark wire (the kind used on automobile engines)

the speedometers are freaking cause of EMF interference

  • Very nice motor bicycle. I made one like it.

  • right after i got mine started my tensioner slipped and went into my spokes and destroyed my rim, now i have to find one somewher...

  • really cool. I might hook one up some day

  • you should build a metal plate thing to protect your leg from being burned!!!!!

  • is there any way u can make this thing quieter?

  • that engine sounds nice ur goin fast

  • were did u get the motoer from????

  • Im thinking of getting a kit like this is there any problems with the hot engine touching your legs?

  • well with eny thing that has an engine betwene your legs you just have to be carfull.. i have on and it does not seem to be a problem, i rekomend getting one big time!

  • I used to have one. It's really funny. But I had to experience constant clutch noise, heavy clutch, bent rear spoke, starting up problem. And it got 60~70mpg. I 'd rather install honda GX 35 engine on some non Chinese bicycle later.

  • did that speedo hold up

  • That horn is SIKK!!!

  • look at 0:18 he looks terrified and he's only doing 20 mph lol : )

  • hahahaha RRED2

  • @RRED2 its called overexagerated acting dude. He wasnt scared. But since your only 14 years old.

  • nice video man,i received the motoredbikes stickers today. i think you are the guy ? Thanks

  • Any have a problem with speedometer mine goes hay wire when the engine is running it's a reliegh speedometer wired and uses a magnet on the spoke. It always shows me doing 100km and the distance meter does not stop going up can anyone help me on this problem thanks

  • mine does the same electro magnetic interfearance shield it or get a manual speedometer

  • Tom you're the man!

  • Yep, I just got mine put together and took it for the first ride... the chain broke in 5 minutes... I replaced it with a standard Huffy bicycle chain and no problems. Parts are not very well made - but still a lot of fun.

  • do you have a racing carb?

  • did you buy a kit? if you did, witch kit did you buy and where? i would like the info please cause i want to make sure i dont buy a bad kit : )

  • Don't forget your earplugs ! But nice piece of work !

  • I expect more from a the bicycle (actually it's bicycle with a motor, which makes it a motorcycle.whateva).I mean 50cc scooters that weigh 80 kilos can do 80-85 kph.Your bike weighs, has the same power, weighs no more than 16-17 kilograms and does only 20 mph (or kph?)

  • its harder to control a bike in high speed

  • Yes,but even with my ordinary bicycle I can get to 40+ kph and there is no problem controlling it.

  • oh... then i have no clue about why :o

  • The bike would do about 30MPH with my 32t sprocket.

  • i got mine to go 25 with better carb

  • how many cc

  • it sais 80 but its really just 66

  • @tirimut because the scooters have gears. this doesnt, but you could put the chain on the other side.

  • @Turbolimejuice im going to take maybe, the engine off a weedwhacker and CHAIN it to the bike. the entire engine will be held and the axle will be in the front gear, not the petals. how aam i going to get the petals off: I HAVE NO IDEA!

  • @tirimut

80 kph is only 49 mph. so thats like one mile per hour for every cubic centimeter of engine displacement. I dont know how big that engine is but i would guess it is around 30 cc so if it goes 20 mph that is actually pretty decent considering its home made

  • @tirimut well scooters have gears, its all about gears if u dind know that gear rations make miracles,

  • and in your sandals! you did everything RIGHT

  • 18 miles? Kilometers? Dude I got a bike 50cc up to 54km, but now i ride real dirtbikes and ATVs hehe

  • i just finished builting one in my power tech class in school. much nicer to ride than i though and i cnt wait to build my own so i can keep it.

  • I have one of these. 50cc Is there a simple modification I can do to increase torque, so that I can climb hills faster? No expensive suggestions please

  • yeah man real easy way to make it twice as powerfull! on the exhaust pipe there will be a slot screw on the very bottom. undo that and remove the bottom of the exhause. you wil now see inside the pipe. ride it like that. beware the engine will run hotter and this will decrease fuel economy and make it loud as hell. also the engine wont last as long but its alot of fun!!!

  • use small sprockets cheap which one depends on wieght cheap but takes a little to figure out in process now makes more relieable

  • wild video. love that horn!

  • were did you get the exhaust pipe ???

  • I just built one and its a blast. the only problem i have is that the carburetor floods if it sits for more than 30-45 min. and the only way around that is to preddal like crazy to burn off the fuel. is there a better way can anyone help thanks.

  • LOL you have the cheaper carburetor that came with the kit. unless you have a screw at the bottom of the cup to drain it, then just turn the petcock off and drain the gas out of the cup everytime you let it sit. but another thing you need to do is fix the gasket that seals it. you cant keep opening that damn thing. that's what messes the seal up. that and if you mess with the little brass regulator above the float, if that gets bent then your gonna leak too.

  • u need to ajust ur mixing screws i would say what motor are u using

  • hahahah thats a pretty intense 20 mph

  • Classic video.

  • wish the noise could be muffled some more.

  • thats cool but i did notice you run a stop sign lol

  • that is sick

i am gonna make somthing like it with a old weed wacker

  • Ive built a bunch of motorized bikes, and trust me youll save money in the longrun if you just buy a kit online. They can be had easily for $125 and it comes with EVERYTHING you need and it only takes like 2 hours to get running.

  • hey can you tell me where to get the $125.00 gas engine setup for my bike. thanks. :)

  • ebay. search for bike engine kit. request a redbat kit if you can. i find that boygofast has the fastest shipping and most consistent quality

  • dont waste 125 dollars when you could just go at the dump and get a free running chaisaw engine

  • I don't think people throw away working chainsaws...

  • yes most of the time you just have to chan ge the spark plug or clean the carb last week i got a 700$ chainsaw for free from a guy he said it jsut did not want to start

i just cleaned the carb and it starded right up

  • Only that? kk. Anyway, the bike needs gears.

  • haha thats what im doing today! when i moved to my new house there was a bunch of old bikes in the garage and we kept them, i now im putting a motor on one to get to school and back

  • Very Good! I wish you much luck and safe riding!

  • these engines have 66cc and 1.7KW without changes to muffler and carbie. chainsaw has bout 500W

  • and........?

  • buy a whizzer

  • la mejor jej

  • just curious, is your engine still running good? I heard they break down after a while.

    thanks, Derek

  • Over 2k miles and strong as ever!

  • It is not that they break down but you have to monkey around with them some times, to keep them on the road, but after you learn the basics you are all set.

  • Omg I cant wait till I get Mine. Its shipping to my house right now. Im putting mine on a stingray Chopper. Ill film a vid and put it up when its done.

  • Those Chinese engine kits are cheap junk that require constant repairs. Takes the fun out of it.

  • or puts the fun into it?

  • yeah it is 49cc engine i hawe 1 of those and it is easy to put it in bicycle

  • i dont think its illegal unless you put a licens plate on it.........and he looks like hes over 16

  • I was 20 at the time I made that movie

  • You really should have stopped at the stop sign, even pedal power needs to stop.

They are not illegal, the motor is too small. Do some research.

  • sick bro

  • reminds me of the aflac commercial with carl edwards

  • sound like chainsaw

  • these are illegal in new york... but i wonder if cops would really pull you over for it

  • They're pretty much illegal everywhere, but cops rarely waste time messing with people on these.

  • They are 100% legal in california if you follow all the rules.

  • very nice...scary fast too =) are the 48cc & 50cc motor kits any good?

  • hthis is amazing!!! how did you do this??? ive been trying so long to do this.....

  • is it r1 lololol

  • you have an 80cc motor right?

  • they ARENT truly 80

    its more like 49cc

  • biks and sandals dont mix trust me i needis to go to the emrginsy room get shoos or boots =) nics bike thow

  • Yeah what a stupid shit, i bet he is really stupid, probably is shorter than his younger brother, what a dumbass, he porbably live in SoCal, they all wear flipflops.

  • probably

  • Hey! You ran the stop-sign at :24! Shoulda been hit -.-

  • tomsafagget

  • on all bikes ive seen u get around 150 miles to a gallon but its a half gallon gas tank

  • Probably closer to 90-100mpg. A lot of the ebay people lie and say 35+ mph and 150+ Mpg... Stock, my bike did about 25mph max, and now with a custom sprocket it does about 32mph max.

  • how much does a motor for a bike cost

  • You can probably pick one up for under $200

  • cool sound effects

  • hows the gas on? like how often do you have to refill it?

  • 1/2 gallon tank, I have to refill every ~40. It gets better 80mpg, but I don't want to run the gas tank empty, and if I fill it up too much it leaks.

  • do the cops ever hassle you?

  • Nope. I follow all laws including wearing a helmet at all times. Sometimes they will come up to me when I am parked and ask me where I got it, etc.

  • do you need a license plate for it, register it etc.

  • No need for license or registration here in California.

  • did u buy the bike with the motor on it or did u buy the motor n who put the motor on

  • hey, I'm gonna be gettin one of these and I was jw, what's the average top speed that this thing can go? please comment back, thanx ^^

  • Will go about 31mph with my 32t sprocket, and ~25mph with my stock 44t sprocket.

  • hey man, where can i get a 32t sprocket? EBAY? I too have the stock 44t !

  • I have me one, err, two of these, my friend blew up my old one, but just got a new one. Lots of fun, but they always require constant modifications, what sprocket do you have on there? I have the larger sprocket, and a 24in back wheel, which is better for slow speed cruising, and quick starts.

  • what size frame?

  • do you have plans or a tutorial how this was made?

  • It is a kit, not a home-built design.

  • i have the same kit ... i need to video the killer jumps i do with it...

  • Top work. the engine in frame idea is good. I did that with a 32cc - 2ci chainsaw eng into a 16 inch bike, it was a tight sqeeze and got 63 kph - 38 mph, scarey, thats why i fitted disk brakes. Chainsaws are good cos they have a lot of torque. Try getting hold of an internal hub gearbox for the back wheel, better take off and top speed. Just dont fall off.

  • Will you install engines on a bike for a fee?

  • That's insane 18 MPH!!!

  • You didn't watch close enough. I think the speedo said 22 at one point. With my new sprocket, the bike cruises at 30mph.

  • Does it have gears?

  • No.

  • You obviously missed the 22mph part, and the bike actually does > 30mph around town...

  • where did you get the 32t sprocket?

  • Spookytooth.

  • 0:18 xDDD loooool

  • hum nice bike but i wanted you to fall!!!!

  • Thanks, but I am glad that I didn't

  • I have the same engine, they are really fun and kind of scary when you are up to full speed =)

  • Seriously! espically with my new 32t sprocket.

  • are you australian by any chance did you get the engine frome xbox. and how many cc's is it

  • km or mph? (speedo)

  • MPH

  • omg that was great! did you catch that kid's expression? priceless haha

I really want a motorized bicycle, I should cnosider building one next summer

  • walt: Still thinking about building one? do a search for ' momo bike '. Most interesting concept I've seen yet. No modifications to the bike itself, just a clamp on the seat post and lends itself well to different engine types.

  • You don't need to do any modifications to the bike itself for my kit.

  • wat kit u got? can u give me give me link or sumtin

  • Very good!

  • You know bicycles are supposed to stop at stop signs, right? They're not a suggestion.

  • lol, 0:18

    Priceless

  • how many miles an hour can it go

  • 32mph is my top speed w/ the 32t sprocket.

  • which motor did u get i wanna get that same kit from LiveFastMotorsDOTcom and what was ur fastest speed uve reached?

  • what no wipe outs lame

  • You wanted me to fall?

  • i want one

  • 900 au dollars for 80 cc with mountain bike!

  • dude is that an r/c airplane engine?looks like one.anyways looks like that thing is mad fun

  • No, its not an RC plane engine. It is actually made specifically for bikes.

  • love the scared look on his face

  • I got one of these on a 1945 Indian replica. These motors kick ass!!

  • could you put that on a bmx bike

  • yes u can.

  • my dad built me one, they cost on average $200 on eBay. i have the exact same thing. its amazing!!! goes 21mph up hill so far, the police clocker sat on top of the hill and said 21mph!

  • LOL

  • motorbicycles how much money? maybe normal motorized bicycle

  • Would there be any way to mod it so that the auxilary chain is the main pedaling chain and the stock deraileur is run through the engine allowing you to shift like regular to optimize performance?

  • you make that

  • i'd mod it so you can shift gears to get mad speeds

  • i just ordered an 80cc kit off ebey for 150. theyre pretty cool and cant wait to get it. i'll probably post a vid of my own of me ridin when i install it.

  • u.s. dollars or u.k. pounds?

  • USD

  • where do i buy the kit

  • that thing realy hammers along

  • I like this. It does beg the question of what a chain driven by an 80cc motor will do to the legs when your foot slips. Especially if you're wearing thongs. I suggest putting a cover over over the chain, you can make one pretty easily.

I was thinking of doing this same thing, but with a 125cc motor. It'd be a lot easier to just go buy a dirt bike, but then you wouldn't get to build anything. =)

  • WOW, I want one! Shouldn't u have plates on it though? lol

  • haha, Not in california.

  • Sweet

  • Is that 80cc's?

  • Yes.

  • I know it defeats the purpose of travelling using your own power, but I think it's cool nonetheless. good job on modding your bicycle.

  • Thanks!

  • thank you for doing a video Respone on the jetcucle video

  • I have the same engine on my bike. These things are great! I've had it on 10+ mile trips nearly every day and have about 800 miles on it so far I think. Some people think they look gay. But those people don't get 150 miles/gallon! Add a small solar panel and 12volt battery to power headlights and stuff

  • Like you, I have logged lots of miles on mine. The only problem is keeping the damned sprocket aligned in addition to constant motor mount bullshit. I rigged 12 volt lights to motorcycle battery and put 3M reflective tape everywere.

  • good job on the bike. You deserve to go out and buy yourself a new pair of boots. You'll find toes are pretty important when it comes to staying upright when you try to walk or stand. It's easy for feet to slip off pedals and into the forks. I know I'm being preachy.
