  • tell me where that tug is--ill go get it- for free!

  • I hate people that are too lazy to dispose of something like this properly.

  • What if the RO can't be located? Who pays then?

  • this video is really important

  • Does the term scrap metal mean anything?

  • Cash for clunker the boats, and maybee the boat wouldn't be abbandon

  • That tug boat still looked in ok condition?

  • I would have loved to take possession of that tug boat, I always wanted one :(

  • let me ask you something, have any of you watch Ghost ships the movie, what if the Ghost ships appeard here?

  • Pull them out and put them in parking lots of seafood restaurants.

  • lot of good scrap going to waste there

  • what if you found a ship built by RMS in this area?

  • @sideslide23 what Does R M S MEAN ?

  • @michaelwright999 Royal Mail Service, th same make who built the Titanic, the same make who built the Queen Mary.

  • @sideslide23 YES OF COURSE HOW STUPID OF ME, ARE YOU 1 OF THOSE GAY SAILORS CREWING THE NET ?

  • Agreed, I wouldn't mind having at least one of those, even the jet-ski. Abandoning them is NOT the answer.

  • ill take that boat at the very begining

  • I would like to restore the boat at 1:20

  • Damn! I would take some of those. Especially that tug.

  • people think that delta is a junk yard for boats but there not, If you can't afford to take care of your boat or get it to run again try selling it or ebay it, as long the boat can float.

  • WOW ARE THEY STILL THERE?WHATS THE LAWS CAN ANYONE CLAIM THE BOATS AND TAKE THEM?

  • heyy the crain part thats were me and my dad drive by to get to our fishing area in the low tide lol

  • tell u what

id love top go there and take a couple of boats and restore them and then sell them off and make a good buk not like any 1 is ganna know right?

  • @xiNsAnEAuSSi3x Sounds like a plan, stan IF U can get a legal title to sell the boat. Would U be liable for any back registration and/or property taxes to get title? And there's that chance U get it hope and discover it's not wort an investment, and no U need to get rid of it. The better approach is to seek out worthy projects before they get dumped

  • @5lkk who gives a f***, bring a tug in and gun it

  • Stupid people should donate the boats to charity for a tax deduction.

  • Most charities do not want to take on a boat that needs a lot of work and will be hard to sell, expensive to store, etc.

  • Interesting story Stanley.

Why not have a program for people to sell their boats to be stripped down for parts?

  • Pretty ingenious squatters.

I ride the train occassionally on the Capital Corridor or the San Joaquins and all the dilapidated, decaying crap along the shore gives the area character. It's interesting scenery, as if something went on in the area long ago. Evidence of a bygone era, if you will.

  • Ingenious in some ways, but very stupid some of them: polluting the water with leaking oil & gas, not having proper sewage disposal, completely oblivious to basic maritime laws and coast guard/ shore patrol requirements. I agree that the old boats have scenic, near cinematic value as seen from a passing train, but they are not "green".
