people think that delta is a junk yard for boats but there not, If you can't afford to take care of your boat or get it to run again try selling it or ebay it, as long the boat can float.
@xiNsAnEAuSSi3x Sounds like a plan, stan IF U can get a legal title to sell the boat. Would U be liable for any back registration and/or property taxes to get title? And there's that chance U get it hope and discover it's not wort an investment, and no U need to get rid of it. The better approach is to seek out worthy projects before they get dumped
I ride the train occassionally on the Capital Corridor or the San Joaquins and all the dilapidated, decaying crap along the shore gives the area character. It's interesting scenery, as if something went on in the area long ago. Evidence of a bygone era, if you will.
Ingenious in some ways, but very stupid some of them: polluting the water with leaking oil & gas, not having proper sewage disposal, completely oblivious to basic maritime laws and coast guard/ shore patrol requirements. I agree that the old boats have scenic, near cinematic value as seen from a passing train, but they are not "green".
tell me where that tug is--ill go get it- for free!

I hate people that are too lazy to dispose of something like this properly.

Agreed, I wouldn't mind having at least one of those, even the jet-ski. Abandoning them is NOT the answer.
Cool vid TVman!

Stupid people should donate the boats to charity for a tax deduction.
Piddyx 2 years ago
Most charities do not want to take on a boat that needs a lot of work and will be hard to sell, expensive to store, etc.

Interesting story Stanley.
Why not have a program for people to sell their boats to be stripped down for parts?
