  • WHAT THE FUCK...WAGNER?!

  • man u destroyed the whole vid withhtis operacrap

  • Thank the Gods I didn't watch TV too much and haven't seen any mosquito repellent commercials using this music so it all seemed perfect to me. Thank you for the upload.

  • final fantasy to this wtf

  • the volsung saga should be an epic film, if the like of lord of the rings and excalibur can do it then the muse to which they gained their story should be the greatest film ever made, how sigurd awoke brynhild upon hinderfell. and just to add that it is a a norse tale so longships are appropriate, the germanic version got in on the act later.

  • The vikingships are a little out of place, but if they also want to mix in norse tradition, that´s great of course. But otherwise a great adaption of great germanic myths and sagas. Some runestones also have motiv from this epic story: Just look for: ramsundsberget, runstenar, sigurdsstenen etc, on Google..

  • What's wrong with trial by axe?

  • @zizek

the double headed axe business is a bit rubbish, its these additions that make the whole thing silly

  • I watched this movie yesterday and i already love it. I like this kind of movies :D.

    I like the soundtrack too :) 5/5 stars :)

  • This is all new to me. I love these shows and would like to know if they are for purchase at stores or where I can watch them in sequence?

  • I love this movie... and Loken ! ♥

  • at 2:58 she's so amazing, would like her to marry ARTHAS!

  • Looks awesome, I was imbued till the music at 3:48...I got lost till 4:51 so I had to go and google this film and order the dvd to see it, hopefully without that music! It looks incredible. She looked so hurt when the dragon guy didn't embrace her, omg, I felt for her. What a great actress and awesome role. I hope she kicks all their asses for betraying her.

  • i like the Wagner, and i am not sure exactly how its out of place ,considering how it was written for this in the opera . i think the pretentiousness above is miss placed . i find it more disharmonious that the film studio did not inculd at lest a nod to Wagner and the German culture this story is meant to glorify, then the fact some one added The Ride of the Valkyries over the fight

  • also yea...the theme took me by surprise

  • i didn't know they could make corn-rows back then...

  • HAHA funny music

  • Love this movie! There is one thing though that's really annoying! When Siegfried's father and when Siegfried die then they say lines from Hávamál.Is it to fucking much to ask the actors to make the small effort and practice ? This sounded horrible, its my native language and I couldn't understand what they were saying,it didn't even sound like the language!

  • @ThornyRoseV Good point !you would think Max Von S could have had some input.

So maybe can you tell me were i can get this movie on DVD with choice of german and english plus the scan.subtitles. Is there a Swed Dan Is or Ger DVD co that might have it.

  • Can you please tell me what movie is this from?

  • wat the!!

wat kinda music you've placed here..

    it disgraced the movie.!

pardo me..but the movie was so good..only the music int here fight was the problem.

  • Honestly: Wagner was, is and will remain bad music -- even Einstein thought so! :p

  • Wagner would have killed himself after watching this!

This is an aberration über Dieser große Künstler

  • thisa isa the goodesat film i ever seend

  • Nie sah ich größeren Mist. Wagner würde sich im Grab umdrehen.

  • that film is full of mistakes ...

  • can sometell me were I can look at the hold movie,is it possiblty I can find it on youtube nd one of the guys in the movie look like the guy from the Twlight movie

  • i hate the fucking stupid amercians to fake german historie of Nibelungen!

  • Brunhild was one of the Valkyries. Great movie, great legend, it was one of the Tolkien's inspiration to create MiddlEarth

  • This movie is so tragic and you just want to punch that deceitful girl in her face for keeping these two apart....ugh...

  • ist das benno führmann als siegfried?

was ist das für eine verfilmung?

  • I really like the cast!

  • the book is quite different.....

  • lol so was the book Queen of the Damned...The movie didn't even resemble it in the least little bit. Marius' character was so different it was disgusting the drivel they reduced him to.

  • Sigfried, the Dragonslayer - cleanly shaven?? Come on! I think we need some scruff her!

  • This became my favorite movie instantly after i watched it

  • oh....come on you guys....don't watch this movie just because Robert Pattinson is in it....It is about a fascinating legend!

  • agree :)

  • LOL It didnt Know he Is in the Movie LOL

    Just Love the Movie*.*<33333

    And Kristianna<3

  • @Miyuuko I agree this is a awsome story and people only like it because the guy who played Edward in Twilight is in it

  • i will watch this movie..seems soooo cool! i love epic genres

  • Brunhilde is trepresented here very well: the real viking woman, strong, proud and capable to fight and defeat men

  • Kristanna is very good for this kind of characters

  • @ehnin I agree! I love a strong woman who can fight and defeat men! Fierce!!!

  • The dubbing of Wagner's music in this is annoying as all hell.

  • Why is that exactly? Because he was the lead role in twilight. Lame!

  • is that robert pattinson...oh well.

  • She is impressing. I like movies like that - they promote valour and inner strength ower those bubbling CG filled filth they usually make nowdays. I like how the queen reacts and responds, and I also like Ziegfried, although the actor suffers from inability to play or express emotions. I red that legend when i was 7, and it fascinated me. Glad they made the movie - must go see it!

  • The Ride of the Valkyries theme coming out of nowhere is a complete abherration! I am a filmmaker and have my own radio show that promotes the resurgence of Wagner's music. But I must admit that the Valkyrie theme is so out of place here (and what a mediocre performance it is!) that it is almost comical. What a way to ruin a good piece of art!

  • Heh you're a fellow Wagnerian eh? I took get perturbed hearing Wagner defiled in mosquito repellant commercials & the such.. You got far more inapplicable abuses of Wagner going on than my piece, feel free to fry the bigger fish.. Untill then check out my "Twilight of the Gods" film project & some of the Uberheim videos & let me know what you think. Have you ever seen Der Ring Des Nibelungenlied live at the Met?, i have, i recall sipping Cognac at the opening of Rheingold immersed in das glory!

  • @Azurean88 I'm with you, Humbert. Even though I can see what Azurean is saying, and I most def will look into his Twilight project.

  • Oh man, I truly agree with you. This made me want to puke. It was great and fitting in Apocolypse Now but, this is in a word, craptacular!

  • thats a nice way of proposing ... - i love it ...:)

  • Ride of Valkyries seems out of place... what with the lack of Valkyries and all.

  • Comment removed

  • this video is very slow

  • there was a video on youtube, that queen brunhild appeared, and with the music of evanescence - imaginary! it disappeared.. if someone could help me to find this video! i love it! hug*

  • the music makes me laugh ... i don't know but you should have picked something more dramatic or i don't know.. just a opinion

  • Of course it makes you laugh, "Ride of the Valkyres" is bastardised in anything from mosquito repellant commercials to cleaning products... In the Wagnerian Ring Opera this is Brunnhildes theme & that of the Valkyre.. In the Nibelungs movie, this is Brunnhilde fighting Siegfried (disguised as Gunther)..

  • what film is this? Looks like lots of fun.

  • ¿Ride of the Valkyries? was included in the original movie? I see, it became popular in USA when Coppola included a clip of it in "Apocalypse now". That's why you laugh, even the Sympsons have parotied this scene. The original work is a german composition that belongs to Richard Wagner's Opera "Die Valküre".

  • wow! great vid & battle!!! Impressive! The Text to the video realy helps, thanks!
