I was born in 89 and was raised with the 60's and 70's music, and one thing Ive learned is that there will always be a song you have never heard from those times that you will love.today I discovered this gem!
Zombie Pee Wee Herman extends an invitation to a moonlight ride along the coast in a vintage convertible inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's, "The Great Gatsby". But any major fool down on 42nd Street will tell you that's no way to beat the heat!

We were out on a boat on Lewis and Clark Lake on the Missouri between South Dakota and Nebraska on a full moon night. I've watched this video and Moonlight many times before. How I wish I had a copy of the two to listen to while out there on the river.
I borrowed the lp from a friend and this was the "other song" that kept me coming back again and again. Great to hear after all these years--like Mr. Peabody's Way-back machine!
@gfwhome Lucky Man is off the Moonlight Feels Right album just like this one. Great song, yes! Very clever and fun lyrics, too. I also love Bruce Blackman's vocal delivery.
This brings back great memories--It's been 30 years or better! Why have we never seen a "Starbuck's Greatest Hits"? Thanks for posting this great song.
Great song, but Oh, Dear God, what a CREEPY album cover...It hasn't "grown" on me a bit since '76...If anything, its creepier now than it was back then...
I'm amazed this wasn't a bigger hit than #43 on the chart. Moonlight Feels Right is so overplayed that it's refreshing hear this track after 33 years.
I remember this song came out when I was waiting to find out if I was accepted to medical school. I heard it on the radio as I was driving to the post office to mail my application. Even 20 yrs after I graduated, this song still brings back that memory!
Hey, for that time I was also entering medical school and had the disc Starbuck, remember not stop listening to moonlight feelsright. I'm from Argentina, I graduated and also remember those songs a lot, jaja. Excuse my English. Te saludo, Federico
i mean im only 14 but this song makes me so happy my dad told me about it he 50 but he grew up around hubolt park logan square he was sayin he used to listen to this song wen he was younger and i guese i get my music from him freddie jackson, mel carter, marvin gaye, johnny kemp, berry white, dean martin, rank sanatra the good music
I was 15 years when this music had being on the ratio. Remember me times very fantastic and Moonlight feels right is another song to bring those senses with a excited heart.
I might know a place that could have the original album. No promises-- but I think I have as best of chance as any. And if I find it, I'm sure it'll cost less than 20 bucks for you. Hell, if I find it, it won't cost you anything. I just like the challenge. Give me this week. Also, you couldn't find the CD on the net. I haven't tried. If not -- let's see what we can do.
Been a Starbuck fan since I was 5. Never heard this one until now. Wow. Nice. Obviously not a hit, but a great tune. Pop songs just aren't the same without strings a a marimba.
I think this was one of those regional hits, because some people remember it and some don't. It certainly got airplay in the interior of British Columbia in the fall of '76, and it brings back memories of my first weeks in junior high.

i think what is not appreciated is the h-tec synths going for the day . cause it seems for them it was just the picture being painted.
