  • I have been doing this workout ever since December. I used 15 lb dumbbells. The first week I did 4 sets, second week I did 5 sets, third week I did 6 sets, 4th week through 8th week I did 7 sets. I can do the whole thing pretty easily now, so I recently switched to another six pack shortcuts workout. For those of you that are skeptical, it works extremely well. You lose fat and at the same time gain muscle, especially on you shoulders and trapaz. I will go back to this in a few months with 20lb.

  • @ForgottenToilet i suppose yes because you are working multiple muscle groups at once and you rest only 60 seconds between the sets,so this propably works very good...hope this helped!

  • @sejadlol no, this isn't harmful for your body, you are at a good age to start working out. there are 2 types of stretch marks, the red ones, and the white ones. The red ones are from the fats that you eat and are not burned. the white ones are from over muscle increase, but don't worry about the white ones, it means you growing muscle.

Can just about pull this off, but the side laterals, Can't even get 1! half way thats it. Maybe expecting a little too much this early. Just wanted to say thanks Mike and keep the vids comin!

  • @WhackyJonathan13 Multiply your kg by 2.2 and you'll have your wt in lbs. 25 lbs is about 11 kg.

  • @Alfish83 Each exercise is a set. There's 8 exercises, the reps depend on the individual.

    My magic number is 10 or 15 depending on the set.

  • Yes, i finally did 8 sets, for the passed week i've been doing 6 1/2 to 7. I just hope i can keep doing 8 for the next 5 weeks :)

  • I can only do this workout all 8 times with 6.5kg weights... I tried going up to 8kg weights but I couldn't even do a set single set of 8 side laterals... I feel like everything else is ready to go up to 8kg but I can't because I find the side laterals way to hard with 8kg. If I keep doing the workout with 6.5kg weights, will I eventually be able to do it with 8kg weights? And yes, you are all probably thinking I am weak but at least I'm honest.

  • @SubjectZ3RO What you have to do, is to train with less weight, try for example 15 lbs., but do the 8 sets.

  • @mfriedrich2012 Try with less weight, you can't start training with so much weight, I started with 15 lbs. and 8 sets, now I've been doing this for 3 weeks and I do 10 sets.

  • @PhoenixStarrah88 I think 10lb is fine, but I have currently been doing it for about close to 4 weeks now and im pretty sure I can now do 15lb weights no problem, I can just see the improvement.

  • So this is actually 30 minute workout. 8 SETs x 8 reps x 10 exercises + 60 minutes between each set. The "4 minutes" description doesn't make sense. Great workout, though. Holy crap this not resting business is leaving me destroyed.

  • @InsaneImmortalApe i dont think it matters what age you are. it mainly depends on what weight you use and if you are doing the excercise correctly

  • Do you only need to perform this four minute routine once every Monday, Wednesday and Friday? So 12 minutes total a week?

  • @itrollhaaard there is no "fast" way to do anything in life. Do your research about what type of body you want and apply it in your workouts. Minimal rest between sets, cardio and eat healthy.

  • Haha, I just started this a couple days ago and now I can't sleep because of the huge energy boost from my metabolism

  • note this is actually a 40 min workout it says 8 reps and 1 minute i between 4x8=32 and 1x8=8 32+8=40.

  • @AOSBOSS i dont think they work the triceps very much, maybe a little but not enough. i usually do skull crushers after the dead lifts

  • @AOSBOSS rows slightly work your triceps but its primarily lower back, the pushups also stretch them out but none of these are primary tricep workouts. youtube skull crushers, i think thats the tricep workout your looking for

  • @AlotLikeMiguel you need to up the weight. you should feel sore the next day. either more reps or more weight. good luck.

  • @DJQuizzargo do all the exercises, then once you've done them all, you rest for 60 seconds, then you do the next set. 8 sets altogether.

  • Do you do the whole thing and then 60 second rest, or do you do each individual excersize and then 60 second rest? And how many times do we do this, just the one all the way through?

  • @jack19950 he does the whole set, that means all the excercises, then he makes the 60 sec rest, after that starts the second set for a total of eight sets, then you die

  • Hi Mike love your videos would love it if you responded , I'm a 17 year old kid trying to get built and have a sick body, I have been going gym for around 6 months but I'm not seeing any major results,I am beginning to see a little bit of progress and some muscle gain but not allot,is it always a slow process to get ripped and especially for somebody my age? how regularly would you recommend me to hit the gym to achieve good results and do protein shakes really help you get built?   • No joke, this is THE BEST workout to start working out with. Use a proper amount of weights (make sure you have proper form) and you will see results. Eating is crucial as well. I've gained 30 pounds since the summer, all because of this workout set. 8 total supersets, 8 reps each workout, 1 minute rest between each set.

  • @TimmyinBoots5 if you havent seen results you might not using the right weight or you havent been doing the excercise correctly. or you could be getting stronger but your just not noticing it

  • Wow thanks for this work out. It is a good cardio work out as well as strength work out. During the 30 sec reset peroid I did crunches. I could only do 4 sets. I am going to try and work up to 8 sets. Thank you very much.
