  • o hope that chugga watch this

  • @MrROBINKONG Why's that?

  • @Overhazard he dit a blind vid of this do you need a link?

  • @MrROBINKONG Nah. I just wanted to know the reason.

  • @Overhazard Me again :P you were right, when i was watching this, i was like, "Is this Really Overhazard!?!!? There is No WAY!!!!" and well, i guess this goes to show that even you can mess up at video games. Everyone is bad at something

  • @DarkInfernoMK2 This is how I play when I don't know anything about the game. Stuff like Sonic and Mario are aftr I've practiced and gotten myself used to the games.

  • man you suck in this game xD

  • It's always nice to watch videos of players sucking in Mega Man games :D

  • nope.avi

  • Although this was over 2 years ago, I still give you props on this. It's fun to watch someone go through like an expert, but at least you make it look like an actual everyday person can do this too. :P

  • @SalaMENCE3 Normal people can. They jsut need to figure out how it's done.

  • @Overhazard Well what I meant was that I see a bunch of perfect runs up here, and eventually I go "Well damn, doesn't anyone ever screw up?"

I mean, it took me all of my lives just to get to (and lose to) Concrete Man, myself. I dunno, I just find flaws and screw-ups a highlight, I guess. :P

  • @SalaMENCE3 They're just people showing off. I'd bet you that they didn't do it in one try. But yeah, I'm glad you got the point of why I put these up--you can see a few comments down that some people didn't.

  • @Overhazard Yeah I gotcha. I'm sure they didn't either.

But I hate watching perfect runs, etc. because I feel like they think they're perfect or whichever. I like watching people screw up, its funny and it makes me feel good for having my gaming flaws. Haha.

  • @SalaMENCE3 It shows that they're human. There's nothing to be ashamed of if you mess up. Some people DO feel ashamed of it though. And you can see that some people use videos like this to brag about their superiority.

I CAN actually do perfect runs of the Robot Master stages, but only after I've spent a long, long time at them. But only showing the perfect run is dishonest, especially if you claim that you can do it consistently. Very few people actually can.

  • What console did you play this on?

  • @LordxDanswich I played this on the Wii.

  • no comments in over a month

  • This became extremely painful to watch at around the 3 minute mark. And when you got to the last boss, lol. You should of just pulled down your pants stood on your head, and let him pour concrete down your ass.

  • @BigLumpyTool Were you expecting an expert run? I'm certainly no expert.

  • wow im sorry dont wanna sound like a dick bout way too many deaths you must not play alot of Mega Man games or havent played one in a looooong ass time

  • u faild like chugga did

  • @Anominate i cant even get past the god damn elephants in the demo!!!

  • OFF THE SCALE FAIL!!!

  • just defeated concrete man. boy does it feel good. this game is so full of win

  • haha nice one!!

  • best mega man game ever! Capcom used all the traditional elements like stage mini bosses and great music. I want to make my own Mega Man game with robots like Smoke Man and Orc Man.

  • Wow, I'm surprised we haven't had a Smoke Man yet.

  • how about Water Man? We still don't have him!

  • I guess since Aqua man is more or less a synonym for Water Man.

At least it would not be Sheep Man. Which proves Capcom ran out of Robot Master ideas. Or that the designers are wasted when coming up with this stuff.

  • I think they need MegaPhilX and N64Mario to help them with ideas because they had some good'uns in their Mega Man 10.

  • Are you kidding? Sheep Man is a great robot master design. He has electric powers, so it's a very intentional reference to Isaac Asimov's "Do Electric Sheep Dream?". I absolutely love that, it's really clever.

Sports Man on the other hand...

  • I heard the sheep man thing...

And Sports Man? Youre kidding? That is gonna be a Robot Master for MM10?

  • I don't think there is an official name for the robot master, but yeah, one of the levels is heavily themed with sports, and even features a soccer goal post as a sub-boss.

I've seen backgrounds of the level that just look like baseball stadiums...be afraid.

  • I didn't make the connection to "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"; that's an interesting connection.

There was a D-list DC Comics villain known as the Sportsmaster though. He wore an odd mishmash of sports gear as an outfit and had weapons like explosive tennis balls.

  • Apparently word is that he isn't called Sportsman, it's Strikeman. As in three strikes, you're out. But his stage is very much sports-themed.

I also here his head is a baseball, so maybe Capcom was heavily inspired by this D-List villian.

  • @DreOK3000 lols i played that lvl, this whole game is hard

  • @DreOK3000 I thought it was more like ampharos... but meh

  • his name is Strike Man

  • Yep, I know all of their names now.

  • Megaman wins:

    FATALITY

  • Well you beat the game and did vary well at it congratulations on not giving up with this video

  • yeah :) nice video @overhazard

i never beat concrete man -.- i dont know but he is fucking gay -.-

    nice job :)

  • i now am 25 years old and i still remember it...........snif

  • Remember it? Mega Man 9 was released in 2008.

  • this game should come out for nintendo ds or psp.

  • im 14 and loved this game and thats from a person who dosent have a lot of megaman in this gen ive beat all the megaman so far 1 - 9 and x1 - x8

but i do like alot of other classics as well and modern games

  • Megaman 9 is WAY too hard, considering it's supposed to be a kids game, Capcom has a reputation of making near impossible games, like Resident Evil, this, Ghosts n' Goblins, Bionic Commando, you see my point.

  • resident evil not impossible lol.,

    fun ^.^

  • LOLZ! You are stupid. Sorry, but Capcom themselves have said that they made this game to the fans, and for the fans this isn´t as hard as you say. If you find a pattern the game will be revealed to you, trust me. Besides, fans of the old Mega Man aren´t exactly kids. Think a little, do you really think that just because a game has pixel-graphics it´s a child-game? If that is what you think, then you really are a little stupid. Or maybe you´re simply not thinking. No offence.

  • Well, I'd hate to break it to you, but it is a kids game. Keep in mind their shonen (which is kids) ranks with our TV-14 and, occasionally, TV-17. The standards differ for each country.

  • Sorry, but it is not. It´s downloadable on the net, it´s made for the fans that are probably around 20 now, it´s also a hardcore game, nothing you expect for a kid. You can´t judge a game by some American tv-program (or whatever it is)

Mega Man is just a kid because they at the first game wanted to catch an audience (kids). Then they made him look "cooler" in 7 and 8, and now, in 9, they want the old fans to get nostalgic, by making him look like in their childhood again. //Capcom

  • Wait, did I say Megaman was shonen? No? That's right.

  • Then what did you say?? =S

  • That's the only ranking system I know in Japan; it's used for TV shows. There actually was a Megaman anime released (which probably was shonen; it would be pretty damn weird if it was shojo, but there's always the possiblity), but I can't comment on it because I haven't watched it. Sorry to sound brash!

  • The Japanese video game ratings system is CERO, if I remember correctly. I don't know what rating Mega Man 9 was given.

That being said, lack of offensive content does not necessarily make something children's media. I don't think about if Mega Man is one or not, but The Twilight Zone is an example: Nothing offensive, but its intellectual content would fly over nearly every kid's head. Inversely, the Bible is full of R-rated stuff but is told to children all the time.

  • It's not that it has Pixel-Graphics. If it was, does that make Wolfenstein3D a kids game? HMMMMMMMM, YOU TARD? No offence.

  • Omg... Don´t you get it? XD

  • I thought it was just right, not too easy and not too hard, the old nes games was a lot harder.

  • This games is amazing!!!!

  • If anyone DARES say Megaman 9 is TOO HARD, I will take their shins.

I will take them and eat them.

  • lol true, for the experts of Megaman 1 - 6, Megaman 9 is such as easy as Megaman 2, if u know how to play

  • Comment removed

  • Try all of the other Robot Master weapons and see for yourself. You'll face them all near the end of the game again.

  • By the way, I know you already figured it out, but a word of note: To avoid spoilers, I will delete all comments that state any weakness of any Robot Master.

  • how come you don't jump and change weapons in mid-air when entering the 2nd gate to the boss chamber. Can you still do this in megaman 9?

  • Two reasons: I chose to use only the Mega Buster against bosses until Dr. Wily; and I had no acquired weapons at this point.

  • hmm i like hwo youve done these, as many have said its great that your runs are so honest, its a credit to yourself as a person that your like 'i died sowhat?' and your frustration, if its anythign like mine, must fo gone through the roof at this stage, i hate those elephants!!!

  • Thanks. Mega Man 9 is a hard game, but some people like to show off and make it look easy.

  • This is the only mega man 9 stage i've played cause i only got the shareware version. i was hoping the shareware would have put a cooler one like splash woman or jewel man.

  • It's nice to see someone who is really playing the game and getting hit or losing a life rather than those players that claim to do a walkthough and not get hit. Especially when we true gamers know they use cheats and such.

  • Or they play it religiously in advance and are just showing off. Especially very tough games like this one. I put these up to tell people, "Don't feel bad."

  • You honestly get mad props for posting these man. Being a badass in a video game is all fine and well, but tenacity is something TRUE gamers have. Good job! I'd probably die so many more times, to be honest. LMFAO

  • I'll bet it's because of a fear of ridicule. But if someone doesn't show that yes, these games ARE built difficult, I'm sure even more people wouldn't even start because they get so intimidated by all these show-offs.

  • Well, you have to remember those people are doing a walkthrough, which the main point of it is to show how to get through a game without making mistakes.

Unless the video is titled "MY [insert game name here] 1337 SKILLS", then it's not their intention of showing off.

  • I don't doubt that sort of reasoning, though I'm sure vanity is at least a part of the reason. It is for my videos, I have to be honest there.

More so to the people who wander into "mistake" videos like these and openly insult people who can't play through perfectly.

  • That is why I chose him last.

  • Sorry, but I had to remove your comment. I try to keep these comments lists free from those that reveal, or even hint, at their weaknesses.

  • Again hats off to you. I mean you actually died in your game play so that says it's really someone trying to play a great game. Great job!

  • Thanks. It's not for everyone (the videos with the deaths included), but I felt it needed to be done to show that this game is difficult, what with all the experts going through it like it was the easiest thing.

  • and when the experts make it look easy, us beginners will think it's easy, and therefore be tricked and beaten badly. Thanks for this video!

  • They'll try to make you think it's easy when in fact these guys have been playing stuff like "I Wanna Be the Guy," a game made by fans purposely designed to be as merciless as possible. By comparison, Mega Man 9 IS easy.

But you can't call them normal, since Mega Man 9 is itself a difficult entry in a game renowned for its difficulty.

I'll bet a few will tell you that it's easy because they want to feel like they're better than you. Those guys have ego problems and are insignificant.

  • I beat IWTBG, but I can tell you one thing, I pretty much suck at megaman games. xD the nightmares.......life time fear of apples....

I think its mainly the fact that once you do a stage, its a lot easier to do it again. I gotta say, its a pretty hard stage by the looks of it.

  • Concrete Man's stage?

Well, one remarkable thing about Mega Man 9 is that it has very little trial-and-error to it. Someone supremely skilled at 2-D platforming could feasibly beat the game their first time without a Game Over. I Want to Be the Guy, on the other hand, thrives on trial-and-error difficulty and catches people by surprise. Their approaches are very very different, though I don't know which would be harder in the long-term.

  • the 2nd elephant is a bit easy. when it blows the ball, just keep attacking until the ball ALMOST touches you and run. when throwing the ball, run as fast as you can and jump before the ball hit you. Its a bit tricky.

  • How do u shoot so fast

  • the 2nd elephant i died

  • why is there not a megaman movie, that would be awesome!

  • I imagine it would be something like this:

"15 year old Rocky was created by his father Thomas from an enchanted scrap metal to replace his long lost son Bruce, who was kidnapped by his evil uncle Willy.

Rocky is caught between doubting his father's love and the love that blooms inside him after meeting the girl next door, Rollse."

    A tale of family love!

  • The third elephant was a bitch. And I do mean, A BITCH. But I got it. In about, twenty or thirty deaths. :)

  • I just go Rambo on the third elephant. Blast that motha fukka from close range.

  • are you doing this on wii, ps3, or 360?

  • This is the Wii version.

  • the original should stay on the original ;)

  • Original what?

  • hotrods4ben asking you on witch console you are playing this, you said on Wii, Wii is created by Nintendo, and Megaman until Megaman 8 a Nintendo Game, so Original should stay on the Original ;)

  • pfft if you thought normal mode was hard, then you havent even SEEN superhero mode. Also: vdieo game logic rule #3: if you are frozen by something usually mashing the buttons like crazy will get you out faster.

  • you might suck at mega man, but you're very persistent! :D

  • you do know for the 2nd elephant you gotta be not very close but close to him and the ball will jump over your head and when it comes back you just jump, and rinse and repeat

  • Yeah, I figured that out eventually. Consistency is my problem though, since oftentimes I'm a little off.

  • Ok, I know the games are difficult, but watching that, it seemed like the reason you died so much is a lack of common sence... nothing personal but honestly, when I first picked up the game I knew better than to do some of the crap I just saw, and it was my first Megaman game...

  • Such as what? I'm curious.

  • Well for starters rushing over the pits at the begining was a dumb move, I didn't even know about the enemies down there but I was still careful about pits and then there was the fact of the birds dropping rocks to be careful about.

  • everything is easy enough to do, the game just tricks you into making little mistakes that eventually cost you your life.

  • 0:01-0:08 I love that music!

  • LMFAO, I enjoy it when you die too haha.

  • I have always found these games freakin' hard haha. The easiest one for me was Mega man 2.

  • I keep laughing every time you die.

I used play this game back in the day. I am pretty sure I didn't get anywhere near completing it

  • September 2008 is already "back in the day"?

  • ummm, the MegaMan concept is an old one, right? I am sure I've played Megaman or something similar in the past, even if it wasn't this version

  • Ah, you mean the Mega Man series. I thought you meant Mega Man 9 specifically. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Those elephants r a doosie. thats where I am stuck.

  • That's the point.

  • i tried the demo, shits so hard, you cant even wall jump or dash lol, those green thingies in the begining kept hitting me and making me fall down (with no chance for a wall jump), lol but i managed to beat it after like 842 deaths

  • Wall Jumping and Dashing came about in Mega Man X. This is an original series game, so there arent as many moves you can use.

  • im playing the demo as we speak

i cant get past the 3rd elephant

its hard but i kinda get better after every fail hmmm

  • hey you know what you might like? megaman powered up its really fun and easy to play honestly your not that bad

  • This stage is ridiculously once you top Splash Woman's stage.

My downfall begins normally around the second elephant.

  • holy crap you suck (no offense)

  • im fucking in love with this game. i played the demo on xbox360 and dude it was super hard. me and my bro kept laughing at concrete man because he reminds us about the old days we played megaman alot

  • i am fail at this stage...

  • Once you get used to it, it's an easy level

  • Now come on. You can't blame anyone for dying in this stage. They could be too busy listening to the AWESOME MUSIC! F*CK YEAH!

  • Mega Man has had a mass of awesome game music. This ranks as one of the ultimate best. I love this one so much!

  • no it wasn't a bluff i was just saying i kinda suck at it to

  • dude i am sorry i suck at megaman9 also sorry i was rude please forgive me?

  • So what you said before was a bluff?

  • It's not a competition. Perhaps you ARE better than me. Im completely fine with that. I'm not challenging you.

And yes, I was trying. I hadn't played a Mega Man game in a very long time, and it was a rude awakening of sorts going through that. I've gotten better at it since, though if you didn't die that much going through your first time, then props to you.

  • I'm documenting every death I have playing through Mega Man 9 the first time around. As for why I actually WANT to put something like that up, you'll have to figure it out for yourself.

  • The beginning of the stage has my favorite mm9 music!

  • i only beat galaxy man cuz hes a pussy!

  • Every Megaman game has a pussy in it... IE: Bubble Man in 2, Top man in 3...

  • 7:29 i love megamen x)

  • The robot masters are hard, mainly because you only have the mega buster at start. Once you get one of thier weapons, it's just figuring out which robot master's weakness matches what and going from there. However, the game is still hard with the stage designs (Tornado Man is one, though becomes easy with trial and error; Magma Man, on the other hand, is hard. I still have to beat that dragon).

  • Those elephant mid-bosses are a bitch for me!!

  • me too man, i cant get past them. i downloaded the demo today and i never played megaman before and im stuck on those hehe

  • wowie amazing

  • lol u almost died at the end

  • what system is this for?

  • PS3, Wii ans 360 its a download, however the Wii version is the best.

  • I like these better than the speed runs. This is real, and not made to seem really easy. Mega Man 9 is pretty hard for me too

  • Thanks. I can only wonder how some people can call this game easy without practicing a whole bunch on it.

  • Man, i have the demo and i died on the second elephant i still die there.

I wish i could plug in my old NES controller.

  • Dude! Just stand under the first bounce and jump over it when he inhales. its not that hard. However I still cant beat concrete man...

  • i love the names of the bosses, its like take any random material and just put man after it and voila theres a boss.

  • It doesn't even have to be a noun. It can be an adjective (like Quick Man) or a verb (like Freeze Man).

Before you know it, you'll be finding a Gruyere Man and a Jog Man.

  • Whoa he beat concreteman!! after so many frustrating tries cool!!

  • lol epic fail

  • Why do people think the elephants are hard??

  • They're large, they take many hits, the balls block the Mega Buster shots, and no one gets past them until they learn what you need to do to dodge them and when you can hit them. It's not obvious on how to dodge them at first, which is why people die to the elephants a lot.

  • Did you read the description?

  • Lmao, I laughed hard when you died on the first hole of that stage. I can't even get passed that part. I suck worse then you. =/ But at least I beat splash woman :D

  • That's a start. Mega Man games tend to get easier until the Wily stages, since you have more weapons at your disposal. To get past that hole, you need to figure out the time interval between when those green things come out. It's a lot more manageable that way.

  • Yeah, you got fucked up at that first hole.

  • this game is hard!!

  • All of the NES Mega Man games were crazy difficult like this. In fact, most 8-bit games were this madly difficult. Just look at Super Mario Bros.

  • Mega Man 5 and 6 are a bit easier and they are the easiest 8-bit Mega Man games. The charge shot in Mega Man 5 destroys most enemies in one hit. I agree with you about Super Mario Bros, it is very hard and its hard to land on platforms properly. You have to pick up a lot of speed to land on some of them and there is no continues after game over.

  • Well, them being "hard" is subjective, but you're right; difficulty of a game is somewhat dependent on when it came out within a certain generation too. Maybe it's because I could never get used to the Charge Shot no matter how hard I tried, but I could never beat Mega Man 5 or 6 whereas I had beaten 1 when I played the Anniversary Collection.

  • puss

  • I guess. I just don't have the patience for video games. Maybe I should stick with solitaire

  • I don't think this is harder than the NES classics. Those games are amazing because you can't follow a game plan, you must beat it by yourself, creating your own strategy

  • Beating it by yourself? Do you mean like not being able to get help on the internet?

  • No, I mean that you can't get help, you must figure this by your

  • man this game is hard!

  • lol he is an epic fail at this game

  • I've played Mega Man since the late '80s. 9 is a tough game. Don't give up! You'll get better, Concrete Man's stage is pretty tough, I haven't gotten past those damn elephants yet. The third one always kills me. Good luck! :)

  • I've finished the whole thing, actually. "Related Videos" will prbably show more of them.

  • your an epic fail at this game

  • You think I don't know this?

  • Not like you have to take his and jks-fail's comments man

  • are you talking to me?

  • EPIC final battle

  • I CANNOT get past the red elephant!

  • all can say is time your jumps espcially with the 2nd and 3rd ones.
