Not sure why everyone seems to think it should be played slowly...on the score the tempo marking is Allegro...which is conventially 120 bpm. Playing sextuplets, this is outrageously fast and requires great skill to play clearly, articulating each note. So actually, I think this is a very good performance of it!
I've seen it played here on YouTube at a slower tempo and agree, it sounds good slower. I actually play it at various tempos depending on how it strikes me at a given time. For this video I was intentionally trying to see how fast I could take it without totally ruining it.
I love hearing this piece fast and slow. Fast it sounds chaotic with a motive passion, where as slow, you have much more of an opportunity for high notes, such as the High E arpeggio. Good job!
Just only this very study is enough to see the depth of the emotions that the author felt while composing it. A really great composer and guitarist! The master! I wish i could play like that.
I welcome the criticism. I would really like suggestions on how I might improve, or change the playing of the piece? I will tell you that since I posted this video I play it a bit differently. I could do it again for comparison.
@waltsguitar I love that you don't freak out when someone posts something that isn't appraisal. Personally, I thought you did a great job. Awesome technique and very impressive tempo.
@waltsguitar Its good excersise, but i love it abit slower, it must be fast, but still not that fast ;) it sounds a bit too chaotic. I like it anyway, it takes many years to get such skill.

sounds good but do you think it needs a ritardando at the end?

@peppy6078 That's just how I happened t play it for this particular video. I'm just happy to have made a half way decent recording of it.

Any tips on playing as fluidly as you do? Great job by the way.

@CoolJohnDog Try planting your right hand fingers on the strings at the same moment your thumb plays the bass note of each arpeggio.

@MrRenessance The guy wrote so much, and I have played so little. I am thinking of challenging myself in the near future to do something about that.

Nice speed with steady right hand. It is inspiring for me. I've always wanted to play this piece like that.

What is this? F1? To play so fast your articulation shuld be much, much better. In this way the piece is intorelable chaotic.

@markey628 Tempo in any piece can vary from performance to performance. It's as much an expressive device as it is a compositional one.

@Zyma2 Good criticism. Another person told me it was "frenetic".

I love this piece. It was the first classical solo I performed. You're tempo and phrasing really makes the piece sound alive. Dark sound, great job!
